NOTICE: THIS ROM IS NOT MY WORK. This is simply the MMS Patch that allows MMS to work on out Evo V's.​

Now that that's out of the way, let's get started...

This is the MMS Fix made for the Swagg3D Out Sense ROM, made by swagstr. I am simply posting the patch along with a link to the original ROM. AOSP MMS does NOT work, meaning that you will have to use a third party app to use MMS. This is a bug within the SOS ROM and is not fixable by me.

Instructions:
From original post:
BEFORE INSTALLING - READ THIS:
Don't use SetCPU, to change clock speed, edit this file: /system/etc/init.qcom.post_boot.sh (lot's of things to change in there btw - always make a backup)
Don't flash anything for Gingerbread or Jelly Bean... this is Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS or Android 4.0) (LeeDroid Tweaks 4.0.3, old themes, old kernels)!

1. Download SOS v2.6.1 from the Original Post above
2. Download the MMS Patch
3. Copy both files to the root of your SD card

If S-OFF

• Flash both zips in your favorite recovery, SOS ROM first (choose your desired options in the Aroma installer), MMS Patch second
• If not using MeanROM ICS or a previous version of SOS M, choose a SUPER Data Wipe before installation
• Done! If you have boot-loops re-wipe manually and re-flash - don't restore anything and see if it works.

If S-ON

• Flash SOS ROM in 4EXT with Smart Flash on (choose desired options in Aroma installer), then flash MMS fix
• If not using MeanROM ICS or a previous version of SOS M, choose a SUPER Data Wipe before installation
• Done!

Yeah, extremely sorry man for that confusion. I believe the ROM is supposedly "non-Sense" but it is still based off of a Sense ROM, MeanROM.

Sure, OP updated with a Dropbox mirror. Also, when downloading from Android File Host, make sure that you click the big green download button, and don't open it in a new tab or window. If you do it may give you that big long error about javascript. If it still isn't working, just use the mirror

No, this would not. This is only for the SOS M ROM because it is based on its framework. If you have a ROM that you would like to be ported, I can take a look at it and give it a go. It just has to be Sense 3.6 based. Just give me a link.

Any chance looking into fixing mms on asop rom? DT cm9 is the fastest rom I've used so far, and I really wish it could be more functional. I tried editing build.prop and replacing the apsn in framework-res myself but mms still doesnt work. Guess need a sense base mms.apk too.

I probably couldn't. I might take a look into that, but it seems difficult. Probably gotta wait till someone more experienced took that job, I heard jmz is coming to work on that stuff.

How's about Miui

Currently Mobster's MIUI has SMS working, you just have to use an alternate SMS app, like Go SMS. The other Sense based MIUI on XDA doesn't have MMS working without an APN settings setup...your best bet is probably Mobster's MIUI.

Are you talking about the Error 64 class 2 error? MMS is working on Midnight rom.

Midnight is based off the stock VM ICS software so MMS has always worked, the error code is a bug from either the radio or pri I think, has happened to me like 3 times and only when I have horrible signal

I used SOS on my old EVO 4G longer than ony other rom available, love the work and style the swagstr puts into these. OP thank you for the patch, I will be flashing tonight, been looking forward to trying SOS M out.

I Installed SOS Senseless ROM, version 2.4.5, flashed the MMS patch, but MMS is still not working with me!
Sucks cause SOS ROMS are by far some of the best ones Ive used for the Evo V 4G.

Exact directions on what I did:
Backup, flash SOS Senseless ROM, everything went smooth but I booted up the phone by accident. Went back into recovery, turned smartflash on and flashed the MMS patch.

MMS does not work in the AOSP app, edited OP to display this. Make sure you are using a third party app like Go SMS or similar. This is a bug within the ROM, of which I cannot fix.

This rom is pretty awesome. Thanks for the MMS fix. One problem I'm encountering is I keep getting a voicemail error popping up on my screen.

One question. Can we try the other launchers without having to reflash the rom? I want to give the miui launcher a try

Hmm, not sure. You could try finding the MIUI launcher somewhere and replacing your current launcher's APK with the MIUI launcher's. I personally do not use this ROM, so I would not know.
