I downloaded a few wallpapers on the web for my phone and when I long-press on the home screen and ask it to change the wallpaper, it always asks me to crop my photos and I am not able to use the whole picture.
Touchwiz doesn't have scrolling wall paper so it has to crop to fit on one homescreen.
There are scrolling wallpaper apps on play I believe. I use go launcher so not an issue for me
I use a free app called Multipicture Live Wallpaper. You can resize any picture to fit the screen you use. Also allows a different picture on each screen or one common picture that can be scrolled. Works with Touch Wiz.

I noticed this today too. When I pick an image from the Gallery to use as Wallpaper in Go Launcher it forces me to crop with a portrait type size (tall and thin) and then when I scroll my home screens it does this weird shifting thing where it looks like two images on top of each other but off center. If I pick from Wallpapers instead then it works fine. Totally annoying!I use Go Launcher as well and when I pick a wallpaper through it, it makes me crop. The only way for me to actually use the entire graphic is to pick it through Zedge.

I can give you an example............this is a picture of a bird and it's native size is 1024H by 692W. That is not even close to being the correct size for the S3 screen but Multipicture Live Wallpaper will allow you to custom resize and crop so it works well on the S3 screen.

Here are the screenshots of what my screen looks like. The one with the rainbow Nexus look is what it looks like when I try to add it to my desktop. Could it be that the picture is not the correct size?

Use Quickpic as your default gallery browser. It handles it without cropping

hey ndh777,
Resizing your image in pc would be more preferable. It will be easy and less time consuming.
It appears you are under "common settings".
Look and you will see the option to do separate screens............the + button will allow you to have different settings for each screen.
Try taking a screenshot of the wallpaper then use the saved screenshot as your wallpaper
Hey guys my question is different and haven't seen anybody ask this yet I dont give a Damn about the screen savers backgrounds I just dont want to be forced to use a portion my photos when I set Them as contact photos if I wanted to use part of the pic I would have only taken a partial pic how can i fix this if not I'm gonna smash this almost thousand dollar peice of shit and go back to my original evo 4g
interesting idea that i had not thought of...and will work with certain images!Try taking a screenshot of the wallpaper then use the saved screenshot as your wallpaper
the problem is...once you go into the gallery to select a picture youre now in an app designed around the TouchWiz framework...so its going to make you crop it...I was wondering, I use go launcher and mine still wants me to edit (depending on where I get the wallpaper) is there a setting I'm missing? And what if I want to entire picture compressed to fit the screen and not scroll? Is there a setting for that? Thanks in advance
