Help How To Use Full Picture As Wallpaper?

Touchwiz doesn't have scrolling wall paper so it has to crop to fit on one homescreen.

There are scrolling wallpaper apps on play I believe. I use go launcher so not an issue for me

I downloaded my images from Bing Images. I specifically picked images that were the large dimensions so I assumed that it would accept them and use them. This comes as a shock to me. But I guess that makes sense why they're not working as they should. Thank you.

I use Go Launcher as well and when I pick a wallpaper through it, it makes me crop. The only way for me to actually use the entire graphic is to pick it through Zedge.
I noticed this today too. When I pick an image from the Gallery to use as Wallpaper in Go Launcher it forces me to crop with a portrait type size (tall and thin) and then when I scroll my home screens it does this weird shifting thing where it looks like two images on top of each other but off center. If I pick from Wallpapers instead then it works fine. Totally annoying!

Here are some screenshots.

The first is the forced crop when selecting the wallpaper.

The second is the weird display when viewing the farthest left home screen.

I can give you an example............this is a picture of a bird and it's native size is 1024H by 692W. That is not even close to being the correct size for the S3 screen but Multipicture Live Wallpaper will allow you to custom resize and crop so it works well on the S3 screen.

Thank you for the advice, but when I click that setting...mine comes out way differently. Mine simply shows the whole picture from a distance and continues to show that same image on each page, zoomed out. I am missing the fourth option too. Do you have an older version? That could be the problem I'm having.

Here are the screenshots of what my screen looks like. The one with the rainbow Nexus look is what it looks like when I try to add it to my desktop. Could it be that the picture is not the correct size?

I downloaded a few wallpapers on the web for my phone and when I long-press on the home screen and ask it to change the wallpaper, it always asks me to crop my photos and I am not able to use the whole picture.

hey ndh777,
Resizing your image in pc would be more preferable. It will be easy and less time consuming.

It appears you are under "common settings".

Look and you will see the option to do separate screens............the + button will allow you to have different settings for each screen.

I was wondering, I use go launcher and mine still wants me to edit (depending on where I get the wallpaper) is there a setting I'm missing? And what if I want to entire picture compressed to fit the screen and not scroll? Is there a setting for that? Thanks in advance :)

That's an idea. I'll try that, thanks!

I had seen that feature! But I kind of messed up the app, I think and I reinstalled it because it really went haywire. How exactly do I use this part? When I click the "+", it goes to this other screen that says "Select screen" and has two arrows and a number in between them which mine has a 1. I added "1", then added a 2, then 3, and it added a whole lot of different things to the settings that I couldn't seem to get rid of unless I uninstalled and reinstalled or cleared the data of the app. Do I only need to add one of these or do I need to add 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 for each screen on my homescreen?

Try taking a screenshot of the wallpaper then use the saved screenshot as your wallpaper

That's a great idea! But it didn't work. :( I may try resizing the picture on my PC then sending it over and see if that does anything differently.

When I initally downloaded these images, I used Bing Images through the Chrome browser on my phone without a computer.

interesting idea that i had not thought of...and will work with certain images!

the problem is...once you go into the gallery to select a picture youre now in an app designed around the TouchWiz framework...so its going to make you crop it...

Hmmm, that is strange. I used Go Launcher on my Galaxy Captivate and was able to select a photo from the Gallery and use it as a scrollable wallpaper. Yet that doesn't seem to work on the Galaxy S3 using Go Launcher.
