Phone BlackList

Hello everyone

I am not a developer but would like to get an android phone. I am currently using a blackberry. I use an application called Black & While List, by ISoftware Lab. This software lets you block callers and also lets you block unknown or private callers all together. This is one software I can't do without. I hope someone can come up with something like this or I will have to change my phone number lol !!! :D

well if you have that person in your phonebook, theres a built-in option that says.. Send calls directly to voicemail.

Hi HTC!

Blacklist is not just for redirect calls.

It also register calls on an internal call log history and redirect all sms from people in black list to it's own sms inbox without ring. It doesn't register either calls on the normal call log neither sms in the default sms inbox, protecting you from anoying contacts. After, you can see who tried to call or send sms by typing a password.

the only thing i don't like about this feature is that it sounds normal for the person calling, it rings until it goes to vmail. i would prefer it to actually send DIRECTLY, so it never rings for them and they think your phone is constantly off.

it is convienent that it still is in your call log so you know when they call. i have a few people 'blocked.' i always joke that i'm gonna block someone lol

Hello,

But what if I want this banning to be done for just a period of time (example: between 23:00 and 07:00) and this should be done automatically. I mean you just set the interval and that's it. Oh, and there should be a white list, if lets say my mom or dad calls they shouldn't be banned. The same should be for sms and mms (i don't like spam sms or mms from my provier) the sms or mms should be automatically.

What I am talking about is Magicall (WM app) it's the best there is. Until such an application will be available for android I stick to my WM 6.1 .

There are no connections managers with counters (traffic counters) You cannot set profiles to enable/disable in relation to a meeting set in calendar, Android is still at the begining.

And so you're here because...? Oh, that's right, trolls simply have nothing better to do.

I had a WM6 phone for almost a year. I hated that OS with a passion. You can keep it.

Off topic

neah,

first i wanted to see if there was any software for android what I need (no support for igo8,timed profiles linked with the calendar reminders/appointments,automatically recording every conversations you have-audio notes, sprite terminator, ringtone suffler, vehicle manager, midomi, sportypal and so on), but I guess not, since I didn't find anything on the internet.

second I wanted to see how offended should one get for an OS that just is cool looking but is not so mature (not even close regarding business class applications, and that's a shame because more and more ppcs go for android but there aren't so many apps for this OS to sustain some basic/elementary functions) For example: please tell 5 things you like about android OS.

Thanks

There is an app for Android called Advanced Call Blocker that will block calls by answering then ending the call. You can have it send to voicemail too, or just silence the phone. It can block private/unknown/restricted calls also. It cannot block based on time of day, but maybe it will be added.

The Android's built in send to voicemail option is nice, but not very convenient to use. Especially if you wanted to block multiple people at one time.

Call Blocker Pro or Call Blocker Elite can do all that, plus it can block calls based on the day or time of day. It can also integrate with your google calendar and check if your in a meeting and silence calls or divert to voice mail

Not sure where you looked online, but I know of Android apps who do all the things I bolded. These are all apps I found with a very quick google search or that I use myself. I have no idea where you're looking. I found all kinds of apps to record phone conversations as well, but I've never used them so I can't vouch for them. I can vouch for the efficiency of the other apps you mentioned. I'm guessing you didn't do a very thorough search on the web.

Back to the topic though, when I had my WinMo phone I had an app called Call Firewall. I could blacklist calls or whitelist calls and you even had the option of locking the phone down to the point where you only got calls that came from your address book. If someone called you and wasn't in your address book or was blocked by the software, your phone didn't even ring. It was a beautiful thing.

Google Voice will do this just fine - but they would need your Gvoice # instead of your regular number.

Not true, Google voice will also block calls to your cell number. This is what I do all the time. On google.com/voice you just set the number you want blocked and when that person calls you on your google voice OR cell number all they will hear is "This number is no longer in service." Google voice is awesome!

Advanced Call Blocker will not work on Nexus S or on Samsung Galaxy. Mr. Number is a free app that does work, however.
