Hi all Trying to let go ?

Hi all let me start by saying I am a Apple fan and have been for some time since I have 5 of the products in my home now including my Iphone witch I'm getting a bit board with like everyone else. I have been watching all this Android/HTC stuff going on and I'm vary interested but with a few concerns let me start. One concern is all my movies and music I own are in Apples mp4 format will they just sink to the phone and play like they would with Iphone ? Oh and sinking all my contacts with my Macbook Pro with use and not have to download another program to sink everything, I think thats really it I just love that the Iphone is a mini dvd player and just do not want to loose that feature other then that I'm ready for a change.
