I'm not employing my SD Card and the internal ringtone folder requires a permission change to write to it.

How do you put ringtones, etc. on this little cutie?

BTW, I've been in 2 metro stores recently and every employee is in the process of selling off their esteems and connects to get the motion.

Me too. Anyone need a connect?:)

Connect your phone to a PC using the USB cable.

An Autoplay pop-up appears. Click LGAutorun.exe. This will install some drivers.

Disconnect and reconnect the phone. It will connect, disconnect, then connect again. Wait a few seconds. You should now see a new drive called LG-MS770 (no drive letter) and under that something called Internal Storage (and SD Card under that if you have installed an SD card).

after clicking on Internal Storage you should see a bunch of folders. Scroll down to Ringtones and put your ringtones (MP3s) in there. They should now appear in Settings/Sound/Phone ringtone menu.

I also installed the LGMobile Support Tool from the LG website available here:

LG MS770 Support: Find Manuals & Warranty Info | LG USA

(Scroll down the page, click the download tab, then click the download button under step 2)

The support tool also has a button to install drivers.

The site also has PDFs of the manuals and there's a tab to download the On Screen Phone (OSP) PC app.

I REALLY like this phone. I went from an Optimus M to a flashed EVO 4G. The EVO is an amazing phone and I'm going to miss the larger screen, but damn! The Motion is faster, has MUCH better battery life, runs ICS, and the 4GLTE (at least here in Atlanta) is FAST. I also like that it actually fits in my pocket (the EVO - not so much) LOL. It also fits ok in the old belt case I used with the Optimus. It's a little loose but it'll do until I find something nicer.

The Motion also has front and rear cameras, and while others might like it, I am very happy that the motion lacks a notification led - I always had to turn the EVO face down when I went to bed to avoid its very bright charge/alert led.

Call quality is excellent, and it seems to grab signal even better than my Optimus or flashed EVO did.

Nice job MetroPCS!

Great info, Bird Dog, but I plugged the phone into my lap top and did not see any of that. I did not see anything to download from the LG website for my laptop, either. I use a MacBook Air running OS X Lion 10.7.5. Is this phone not compatible with my MacBook for transferring music and photos from the Mac to the phone or getting ring tones???

Thanks.
