Help i7500 problems

well i got this sweet galaxy from hong kong, but am having trouble with stupid stuff that i cant figure out, so here it is. 1.i cant set up my email on the phone. 2. the screen doesnt landscape in all directions.well i guess thats it right now so any help would be greatly appreciated. and should i update the phones software ive read good things and bad things.

when i go to setup the email i put in my address and password, and it tells me i have the incorrect password and/or email but there right, ive tried numerous times and the same thing.i look to yahoo cause it mentions it my have some problems with yahoo account but i cant find any help there. in the reveiws it showed it going in all directions,not a big deal

If it says the password is incorrect, than the password is probably incorrect. Normally people have problems login in because they don't have 2G/3G data configured. Have you tried WiFi?

Setting up POP3 access on a Yahoo account, I believe you need to use your Yahoo ID (without the '@yahoo.com' bit) rather than your email address as the account name. I think, anyway. Could be wrong, I've not set one up in about ten years... (-:

Have you used the email account outside of a web browser before? Ie, tried using it with Outlook Express on your PC? I'm just wondering if access needs enabling within the Yahoo account itself first.

sorry to hear, but even more sorry to say that yahoo doesn't support access apart from the browser, unless you have yahoo Plus account, which would allow you to use their email and push then on galaxy. another thing is you can register you email on some other website (can't remember which) pay money to them and they will push your email through some kind of 3rd party software. but not sure if they can do it on galaxy. but google it and you'll find that not much can be done to access your yahoo mail from the phone, unless you get google Plus account

you can't do that with a free acount

What atbeyi says is true !! i was able to access pop3 and smtp by switching settings to Asia just a few days ago

btw, yahoo service is pretty bad. So better to use gmail !!!

Hi, they just replaced my storm with samsun galaxy GT-I7500L and i'm really shocked.This phone is very limited in setting and options.

I couldn't even find record audio option?in guide it shows setting that are not in this os im a bit confused.
Firmware is 1.5 ,NPC sez dont need update

so can u guys tell me how we record audio on this thing?

and the guide shows different menu then mine,do you have any suggestions on a os or theme? shall i update one of this unofficial stuff?

any help would be appreciated
