Astro file manager beta?

I just got it after seeing your post

ASTRO Beta.jpg

This is only this particular version, and it even says it in the market:

ASTRO Beta 2.jpg

So there should be an update for the app in the market very soon.

Why would you just up and switch to a different FM just b/c of a Beta message? Look at my second screen cap - it is marked as a Beta in the Market - it's our own @#$% fault that we didn't bother to read it.

And I am betting even money that the dev posts a new version before this one expires (and quite possibly another beta that expires at a later date),.

Are you referring to me? If so, I will not switch as long as Astro is there. Yes, I knew it was a beta also. If they post another version, as long as it's still free, I will use it also. I won't pay for it though, since there are other options for free.

Great app. I'd pay for this. Developer reports over a million downloads. Why shouldn't he make a little money for his efforts?
Fully agreed. I can't believe some people wouldn't fork over a dollar or two for great apps. Lot of cheapskates out there. I wonder if any of them work for free.

FYI, I do NOT work in software development but I just like to see people who make good products get their due.

Now that's funny!! I love people that feel like bashing people for no reason. There are free products that have the same functions, so why would I pay for it. I have no issues paying for apps, as I have many times before, but there isn't anything ground breaking with this app worth paying for. To each their own though, I'm sure every app you have on your phone is paid for. Thanks for the laugh!!

Obviously I have free apps on my phone. But if I have been using an app for months and the dev has been releasing updates over that time I am not going to complain if the dev wants charge a few bucks for the app.

Just seems like some people see it like its a crime that devs charge for apps. If we dont buy apps then whats the incentive for devs to keep making apps for android?

And I agree completely with that. But no need to bash people for the choice to not pay. I may end up buy it, depends on the function. This guy did an awesome job with this program, but I just know there are others out there. I use ES File Explorer also, but I really don't like it as much. Who knows.
