Root [GUIDE] Howto Root LG Motion 4G

Well the root works. Thanks! Now I am working on the unbrick. Used Titanium Backup and removed too much I guess... Thought brick was hopeless til I came on here and found unbrick guide. Fyi I removed google music/movies/ (books?) Also removed something oddly titled "Verizon hidden menu" Damn I LOVE THIS PHONE! I will mess with removing dif apps today and see what causes the brick... "Security Error" "Morningcall Cannot Be Verified".... Looks to me less like a valid "brick", more like LG software seeing us playing with what they don't want us to... Thanks again AF Devs / Root Godz
Verizon hidden menu may be for roaming.

hey guys am I doing something wrong?
I ran root.bat from o4xr folder and it just
opened a cmd window that says:
"daemon not running, starting it now on port 5037"
"daemon started successfully"

and it stays like that, doesn't do anything else
i'm on "charge only" mode connected to pc
help?

Make sure you got the drivers installed correctly.

First of all i'd like to extend a thanks to the people who got this done, you guys are gods, you should be praised.

NOW.

I've downloaded the APK an the Folder with the root, put the root folder in the C Directory and all that, I'm currently in CMD and got the folder open but when I put in Root (No quotes) it tells me it's not a recognized file or command, am I doing something wrong?

I had this same experience. Somehow when using the command prompt under Windows the files don't show up, if you do a "dir" command when you're in that folder it won't show any files. Yet they appear in Windows just fine and you can run root.bat by double-clicking it.

Yea it was annoying, but thanks to the advice Up here I got passed it. Just clicked the root file directly on the computer and it handled the rest.

NOW I have to figure out how to tether my phone without paying for it, which SHOULD be possible through rooting but for some reason it's not working.
