Dunno if anyone else feels this way too but I can't help feeling that only N1 owners should get the latest and greatest updates since we're the ones carrying the flagship device torch...

It's like buying a Toyota Prius for $23,000 and then Toyota coming out with a hybrid kit for any car for free which seems to cheapen the N1 experience...

N1 owners are way more important than any random Hero, G1, or Droid customers.

We are the ones that carry Google's flagship device and should be treated accordingly... compared to the other random devices that just have android on it and aren't really Google devices.

Yeah, the reason I posted this is because my friend who also has an N1 feels very adamant over this 2.1 update. He's the one that gave me the Prius example as well.

I can definitely see yours & his point and wanted to bring it up on here to see what type of responses my friend would get from fellow N1 owners.

The more people that get 2.1, the more and better apps specifically for 2.1 will be available...

Now, not wanting others to have a Nexus One, that isn't as selfish (I don't mind having the same OS as others - like the Droid guys, Hero guys, etc. etc...) But what I don't want is the Nexus to become a commodity like the iphone where you see one on every street corner in the hands of every teenager and grandma... THAT sucks. But the way the Nexus is selling, we don't have to worry about that... well, at least until the vzw fanbois get their grubby hands on them...

I bought the Hero from HTC, it's customized but If I will wait 6 months to get one update...sure thing I will buy Nexus One from Google and keep buying the devices from Google itself...and I can live without HTC customizations...
