I figure this will entertain more than just me...so this is going to be documenting my continuing conversation with LG about the locked bootloader on this phone...

first things first this is what i sent them

"Hello,
I have recently purchased this phone and in the tradition of Open Source I would like to ask that you release a Bootloader unlocker tool. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you"


and this was the automated reply I received today...

"Dear

now..i do not know why the website admin would know how to solve my problem...but we shall see...
 
Signed. Hopefully, when I'm ready to trade up my M835, LG will have come to their senses. Open source development makes current products on the market more enjoyable for longer amounts of time. If everyone wanted the same phones we'd all buy apple products. Apple seems to think all cell phones should be identical, rubbish. I like the fact that my phone is mine, which does not look or feel like the next guys. Diversity amongst products does not create dissension. I never have and never will purchase an apple product. I'd rather have my M835.

Would be nice if LG actually listened.

Why don't you just call the number if you want to troll someone? Get a good call recorder app, and make sure you tell each person that the call may be recorded, otherwise cut them out before uploading, otherwise illegal.

because they can always hang up on me...

but for proper customer service trolling...you start with an e-mail..then the live chat...then the phone call...

by time you get on the phone, they know who you are...and you'll be talking to the right person who will be able to help you out
