So, I ditched the Samsung Admire which honestly wasn't too bad, especially after the 3G tweak, but I just couldn't resist what the Motion was offering for the price tag. I also could not resist that $55 Unlimited Plan. Now I have the phone, and I have the plan, and I am golden. Now, in a couple months, I can giggle at the people paying $70 for the same plan :p

Anyway, I do indeed know you can remove SOME of the bloatware, but the cool part is, you can disable A LOT of it which does seem to clear the space until you enable it, but I will be checking back from time to time for a root.

I do have a couple of questions though,

My first question is, when you go into Application Manager, there's a app called Marionette, but in the app drawer there isn't a shortcut for it. I am just wondering what it is exactly?

My second question is, since there really isn't a legit legit root yet, I was wondering what Cache Cleaners do you recommend that works JUST AS GOOD on a non-rooted phone as the ones are on rooted phones?

Thanks for you time.

The marionette is a puppet live wallpaper and you can root the phone and use anything you want for cache
A good cache cleaner I use for unrooted phone is called app cache cleaner the icon is a Green Arrow.

No NO, I meant like, I read that people did roots, and its like, not 100% tested or something, so any real root you guys have used, that would be great to know of as well.

Also, any idea about making the email sound different than the text sound?

...it is 100% rooted.....whatever you're reading is from people thinking the same as you....if you read the camera's not working, that can be fixed.

What's the problem? The rooting method works fine and you are rooted...root either works or it doesn't, there is no 50% root.....please share the posts you are ttalking about.

I never even said I was rooted yet, I was just asking for a trusted root from you guys " the community " before attempting one I found elsewhere.

I also asked if the email sound can be set different than the text message sound...that is more important to me right now then rooting.

I know you're not rooted yet....if you found a root tutorial on YouTube, its based off of the root thread from here...

Welcome.

Just ignore the trolling fellas. You can root the phone and it's pretty legit method.

Indeed, I just wasn't sure how many people have already done it that's why I did not want to jump the gun since it's a new phone.. well new to me. Not sure exactly when it dropped, but if you share the one you used with me, would be great. Thanks!

There is a whole sub-forum at the top of this one dedicated to phone development.

Who was trolling?
That's how arguments get started.

I'm glad you found root, don't know how you didn't know where it was if your a senior member. Anyways be careful with deleting bloatware. You can brick then you have to read the "trolls" unbricking guide.;)

Yup, no one's bothered to donate anything, meanwhile a phone store down the road is using my guides to make $40 per phone he unbricks.....

no doubt the first thing you need to do is put a donate button on your sig so people can get on that its not fair that you put your time and effort in, everybody does stuff out of the good of hacking and no one asks for money but hey a little beer fund aint nothing wrong with that
