Can't play music through bluetooth

Hi All,
I just got a bluetooth (samsung HM1000) for my Samsung Galaxy S3.
The problem is I can't hear music through it.
I installed many apps like BTmono, Adpvolume, BTHeadset, BlueAudio. But none of them solved the issue.
When I play the music, there is option to play through bluetooth but that doesnt work.

Moreover I have tried using the bluetooth headset with my other old Nokia phone, it works well with it. I can hear music through it on Nokia.


Please help.

That headset doesn't support A2DP; there are headsets that do. the S3 has a 'Mono Music' widget built into touchwiz. I've never used it but suspect that is meant to play music over headsets that don't support stereo sources, but I'm just guessing...

Something you might try.. while using the Mono Music widget, go into your bluetooth settings, select the paired headset and see if you have the option 'media audio'. If so, make sure the box is checked.

I've been having problems trying to pair my GSIII with my Jambox speaker as well. Like, it doesn't even see any Bluetooth connection available even with the speaker right in front of it.

I tried your suggestion but that didnt help.

I am bit confused, the headset seem to be working with Nokia handset but not with SG S3.
