Moto Droid's Android 2.1 update going live | Electronista

I know it's the Moto but it does say all of the droids in the email....Just hoping the Eris is in that bunch.

Nothing about the Eris.

This part "Most if not all Droids should be updated to 2.1 by the end of the weekend. " is STRICTLY talking about the Motorola Droid.

Yep... "Droid" only refers to the Motorola Droid. "Droid Eris" refers to the HTC. Poor choice of naming by Verizon, especially now with all of the other Android phones on the horizon... Wonder if they will call it the HTC Droid Incredible, etc... that just doesn't seem feasible. Not sure why the did that with the Eris... maybe just because it was the first one?

Lol same here! Sometimes I end up calling mine the Droid haha. But mostly Eris haha.

I doubt it since the Eris doesn't have the HP that the Droid and Nexus have. If it does, it'll probably drag down the speed and performance of other functions.
