Are you happy with the Droid 4?

I had held out to see what the new iPhone would feature and was ACTUALLY considering leaving my beloved Android. :afraid:

But of course, they failed to make a "new" phone. And kept is the exact same besides a few little, minor tweaks. So I waited for nothing! Or did I?

So yeah, I am inquiring about the Droid 4 since my old Original Droid was such an amazing phone. Just seeing if it is still good.

So, is it? How is battery life? Is it easily rootable?

I currently have the HTC Thunderbolt and love it when I get an actual working solid ROM going on it. :p

No not really. Ics update took forever. Battery is ass cheeks. Phone is slow. Bloatware. Lack of good roms. Etc etc

I just got one used, updated to ICS last night.

Phone is a bit faster then my Thunderbolt.

Battery looks to be about the same as my original battery on the thunderbolt.. crap. To bad they don't have a replaceable battery.

I am thinking about selling this, and picking up the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 when it comes to VZW.

Or maybe a Samsung GS3...

This phone is a bit disappointing for sure. And wish I had done more research on it longer then a week...

I received my "Droid 4" 3 weeks ago. I love it, although it is my first smart phone. It came with ICS installed so I can't compare it to anything else.

The main reason for moving from my Samsung Convoy flip-phone was the slide-out keyboard. That was a must have for me

As for the battery life, I'm not a heavy user (yet). When i first started using it I had to charge it every night. Now after several times of running it down to at least 10% charge before charging, I now charge it every other night.

I also like having the ability to have copy's of my needed documents on the 32G SD card so i can read them any time I want.

well if you want a good phone that is alot like the og droid with great battery, premium build quality and overall (In my opinion) is better than the s3 try the razr m. only downside is no rooting. i was considering the droid 4 for its keyboard but just never mind.
i have a s3 and i will tell you i miss motorola! and ill assume the same for the note 2
