OTA 2.1 Has started..

Dear lord in heaven help me!!!! How many times does it need to be said that HULU will NOT work on mobile devices whether they have flash or not? Not only did you start a bogus thread that was already started but you do not research anything! Sorry for the anger but I am tired of the ignorance.

P.S. This is only directed at the OP and no one else.

Just want to point out that Tversity has iPhone support now. So if you set up Tversity on your PC with your Hulu account information, you can watch your Hulu on your iPhone just like watching it on your TV.

The problem with the update.zip and using a recovery tool is that a large file is spread out over a larger portion of the memory, small files such as photos have less of a chance of being overwritten, it comes down to probability and the fact that with more data, it is contained in a larger part of the card.

But anyways... daring enough to risk losing the update?

This isn't feasible anymore... if we have to blow it out to 8 digits, it's going to take 69.4 days to complete the test...Right now my program can hit 250 urls every 15 seconds, and at 8 digits there are 100,000,000 urls to check.. :(

So get a lot of people to do it, and just start running it. 69.4 days is worst case scenario If you got 10 people to do it you're down to 7 days, but changes of one of them hitting it soon is good if you split them all at even intervals.

Of course that depends on you getting 10-20 people to do it. If you could get about 40 people it would definitely be worth it because you'd hit it before Thursday at midnight.

I suppose I could jar it up and everyone could run "java urlTester XXXX YYYY" where XXXX is their starting number and YYYY is the ending one... granted, this doesn't check for all alphanumeric values, just numbers...

I just modified my code a bit:
Code:
                int response = uc.getResponseCode();
                if (response == HttpsURLConnection.HTTP_OK) {
                    System.out.println("Got It!\n" + url);
                    break;
                } else if (response != HttpsURLConnection.HTTP_NOT_FOUND) {
                    System.out.println(response + " - " + url);
                }
Re-ran it this way, batches of 250 with 2.5 sec pauses... everything 404'd...

I'm done now :)

PLEASE READ: Should someone receive the update, I trust you'll follow my instructions in this thread and PM me so we can start sharing it with people. I have 3 server spaces where I can host the file. You will see guide posted from me on how to force install the update as soon as I can get my hands on it!

Will you be up at midnight EST tonight?

quixand...if you aren't loving the stock home screen and home++ is lagging, go to the market and download the free Helix Launcher (version 1.2a, is current, I believe).

Allows up to 7 screens, has four extra quick launch buttons to either side of the app drawer handle, runs very fast/efficiently.

Again, free, does not require root or anything...my guess is you'll like it very much.

I actually reinstalled Home ++....and while the app tray is still a laggy piece of crap on open, it is MUCH smoother now than the stock default Home launcher.

So Home ++ is working, I just had to reinstall it.

I think we need to see what others say also. Can't base it on one person.

As a buddy of mine just told me, I'm also running the old Beautiful Widgets weather widget...the one before they had to cease and desist.

So...my lag MAY have been caused because of that.

Unfortunately, I did a factory reset, got the phone to 2.0.1...and have been sitting here for nearly an hour with no update. :(

So....there went that idea. I guess I'll be waiting for someone to post the Update.zip like the rest of you guys. LMAO
