Root Adding MyFaves

I recently put BH_Man's stock rom onto my phone and love it accept for one thing. My plan still has MyFaves and was wondering if there was a way to add the app the phone came with back. Thank you.
You can manage you myFaves via the T-Mobile website. You do not need the application on the phone for calls to be considered under myFaves.

Ya I knew we could change it on the website, just didn't feel like it. Thanks for the fast responses guys.

Download myfaves.apk, MyFaves.apk

Put the apk in the root of your SD Card.

Load terminal or ADB shell
su
cat /sdcard/MyFaves.apk /system/app
reboot

no guarantee it works as this is file is for the G1.

Also don't expect an app from T-Mobile for any new version of Android. The MyFaves service is terminated and they only allowing the people who are already on it to keep it. They wont allow any more new subscribers to get the MyFaves feature.

They have updated the app since they have stopped offering fav5, so for some reason, they feel it is important to keep it updated. I wonder if it will be incorporated into the new PLUS app (I think thats what it is called) being beta tested by some G1 users.

I have installed BH_Man's Take5 (1.6) ROM onto my phone and it's working great. (THANKS BH_Man!) I also still have MyFaves and would like to add the MyFaves app back on my phone, if possible, since it was removed from the build. I know that I can update MyFaves on the TMobile website, but I like the MyFaves app/interface. The myfaves.apk posted by Mastermind's in this discussion unfortunately only works with 1.5. Also, the tip by erb0817 to go to Browser>My Account>MobileLife(sm)>myFaves to change the contacts doesn't work for Take5. If someone has a myfaves.apk that works with Take5, I'd appreciate it.
