My nexus one starting ringing last night whilst sat on a firm surface and was making a vibrating type noise.

Now when I give it a little shake right near the top end of the phone there is something that slightly rattles.

I've tried removing the rear cover and the batter and it still does it.

Anyone else experienced anything like this?

What's the deal with returning to HTC within the UK? Has anyone done it and how did it go?

If it is only a very slight rattle, it is more than likely the camera autofocus.

I had the same slight rattle in the Hero & the same on the Nexus.

Nothing to be worried about, unless it is a real clattering rattle.......in which case, you may have a problem.

But the point is my phone rattles. Only slightly but it rattles.
considering I paid over

I think its a common issue among people who have this phone, and its a hardware problem just the way its structured. I just wish there was a solution.

Actually, it should only be able to rattle when the lens is unlocked. And it should be programmed to remain locked until an app accesses the camera hardware.
So maybe check what apps have access to the camera to see if any have gone haywire. But most likely it would be a hardware problem, contact h htc to see what they can do :)
