And downthemachine present:
The Glitch Kernel
Based off hroarks original work

Special thanks to Kroegs, Bocephus87 for donating! Thanks for your support!

I am not responsible for any damage you may do to your phone. This oc has been tested many many times, but going past stock levels could cause damage. You have been warned!

Questions are for the threads only. I will not respond to help questions in pm. All that information should be open discussion.

Now in two flavors
Non oc
And 1.7Ghz OC

Non OC
The kernel everyone has been using on almost every rom
Features:
Swap support
Ext2/3 support removed for more memory
Proper init.d startup

I/O schedulers added

Glitch OC v1.2
Same as v1.1 literally no difference
Except includes default set to 1024
As a script. You can disable this script in init.d folder. Credits go to the makers of voltage control. User can define higher speeds with an app
1.7Ghz

Glitch OC v1.1

Glitch kernel v1.0
1.6Ghz

No longer supported
This is only oc and swap

Installation instructions:
Make a backup!
Choose install zip in cwm
I would recommend you get an app like voltage control to set frequencies and io schedulers

Recommended apps:
These are the two I tried. I use CPU master pro. I haven't tried the free version. I wouldn't recommend setcpu for anything. I've had many issues with that app.

*Special thanks goes out to Hroark13 for the hard work he put into making the original zte source usable. Also for consulting with me during the course of working on it. I'd also like to thank my testers. Without you, this would not be possible. And thanks for putting up with my 30 builds a night testing.

* is to be added soon

Look mommy, I'm gpl compliant. You should be too!

There is a known incompatibility issue with some build.prop modifications where wifi connects but doesn't have data. When I get time I will find the exact modification so it can be removed.

whitefiretiger found that this

video.accelerate.hw=1

In some build props causes issues with wifi. Thank you for the find!

There are also some issues with read ahead speed with oc. I am currently looking into this. Stay tuned
Results for read ahead.
I have found that different governors change the read ahead.
interactiveX gave me the best results for read ahead
Scary is a good balance of speed and read ahead

This is a good explanation of governors and schedulers. there are a million on xda,
but this is the one i picked

Maybe ill flash it after i disable v6 and kak and see how it works
Edit- so it turns on fine and co nects with v6 its the kak that messes it up somehow. Leavin my wifi on to make sure i still have service after a while.
Edit2- i had to cut testing after my old friend sticky toggles came back. I only ever have the issue with them after turning wifi on but ill deal without wifi

Honestly I can't tell you about hroarks kernel, it never worked for me. As far as the lag and issues with the other oc kernels it was improper voltages. Mind you this is just a start. I'm still testing new voltage and frequencies to get the best balance.
And as far as support for ext2/3, Hroark had told me that removing support for them may free up some memory. He had also said that support for them are not need with the warp

Ext2/3 are only needed if you plan on setting up a partition with 1 of them and even that can be done with ext4... though I wouldn't mind having btrfs support ;)

That's enabled to in the stock prop as well as yoshi and I don't have any wifi issues

Well I'm not seeing that in the stock prop

But the problem it was making was when you boot with wifi off when try to turn wifi on it would go "turning on" "turning off" wifi wouldn't work till reboot then would switch on off fine till reboot with wifi off then same thing again.

I removed that line and poof no more trouble

Lol I've got the stock prop its not there. i use it for testing. If i suspect a prop tweak i switch to stock then if my issue goes away i work from there.

Whenever I want to test out new prop tweaks I'll either open a terminal or use adb and the setprop command... that way all I have to do is reboot my phone and it's gone.
