Switching to Sprint in May

I'm looking to switch from my ATT family plan to Sprint's family plan in May, and I have my eyes set on either the Evo or the N1. Assuming that the N1 is available by then, do you think I would be able to get that phone on family plan, or get it and then add a line and SERO it up? Or should I just get a different phone in May and hope that I can use new the 30-day return policy to change to the Evo if it becomes available in early June?

i don't think SERO is around any more so i don't see how you would get that to work coming in as a new customer, and now with the 30 day money back guarantee you don't really have much to lose, i mean you can cancel on day 30 go to a pre pay plan and wait around for the evo i guess???

The only issue here is that you have to wait 90 days after cancelling an account to run your credit and start a new one. Unless you can start one under someone elses' namae, like a family member.

SERO isn't easy to get any more, and goes through inspections now.

People who try to "work the system" annoy me greatly. Why not just pay for the service? If you put the man hours into a second job or gig, you would have more than enough to pay for everything you want. Also, freeloaders tend to ruin things for everyone else, resulting in higher prices for everyone.

However, not every new cell phone that comes out is available to be put on SERO. the Touch Pro 2 was the last SERO available device to upgrade to and keep the SERO plan, if my memory serves me correctly.

If you want a smartphone you'll have to go on the everything data plan which is $20 bucks a line after number 2 phone. Thats a bit rough but its not too much more expensive since everything is included. for five phones in the plan I g pay like $30 more than regular family plan.

i think that dude who put his sprint employee id out on the internet for people to use for referrals is the guy you need to take your anger up with man. noone...NOONE who has used that to get a referrral did anything wrong or questionable by any standard. he offered it up specifically for people to use to that purpose. giving anyone who wanted it a legitimate sprint referral. everyone who had sero was "working the system" to get an insanely low plan and then sat around whining because they couldnt get the biggest baddest phones on a 20 dollar cell phone plan.
sprint got rid of sero because sooner or later someone was gonna realize how ridiculous those plans were. not because more people got in on the deal than should have. just as many people got handed buttloads of free stuff and discounts without sero. is that working the system? i mean i called up genuinely planning to cancel due to work changing and they offered me the moon to stay around. sprint put themselves in the the spot they were in with sero and discount customers.

I don't buy new cars. Waste of cash when you can pick up the same car with15-20k miles or less for a fraction of the cost. Anyways.

So yes, blame sprint for employees/customers taking advantage of something nice print offered to employees and friends of employees. How do we know it wasn't a disgruntled emploloyee? That makes a lot of sense. Really.

Why the using the sprint discount is not legit:

The referral offer is meant for friends of employees. So unless you know the guy/gal that gave you the info, it is not a legitimate deal. Would you lie to mcdonalds to get a senior coffee?

Btw I also have the pick 5 option.

Full Upgrade eligibility after 11months.

those perks are all supposed to be only for people who really planned on leaving and weren't ever meant to be compiled on plans. the intent is to offer a customer a sweetener to stay with the company. is that why you have them all? were you really planning to leave when you got offered all that or did you get the hotline to retentions?

Well I have a habit of renegotiating my contract through retentions, althoughhavent recently. Reason being, the cs at the time was indeed horrid, and I expressed my concerns while reupping my contract. They gave me perks for my "troubles".

Theres a difference. They offered perks, probably because ive always had a high monthly average. But I never asked for perks.

chasing discounts the are not genuinely warranted is completely different. If you cant tel the difference, I sure hope you don't become a judge.

those perks were not meant for you unless you were really leaving .i.e. not genuinely warranted. did that stop you from taking them?
the discount from Mcguires law online is not meant for him unless he's really friends with him, should that stop him from taking it?

how about take it to the extreme and consider the following.

a store employee offers you to use their discount card at the store, its against policy, but you are friends. you use it and save 15% off of all your purchases for a year totalling 1,200 dollars. you were offered the card by a friend. they never told you it was against policy but you know it is. since you didnt ask for the card, you feel you are blameless. however in reality you have stolen that money from the store and your friend loses his job and faces charges for all the money.
a man walks into a store with a fake reciept and uses it to walk out with a 1200 dollar television. he is caught and prosecuted for stealing from the store.
an employee in the stores food area keeps the extra food from the days product to keep from having to buy dinner. the food is extra and they would have to throw it away anyway. after a few months he has saved 1200 dollars from all the food he would have had to purchase. this is against company policy and he is caught,charged and fired for stealing from the store.

which one is stealing more?
















none. they all wrongly took the exact same amount. justifying it by saying "he was looking for x and i didnt actively do x, i just took what was offered" doesnt work in the really real world. or receiving stolen goods would not be against the law, only stealing itself would be.
