with the way phones are heading now, it's reminding me of the computer market. a dual-core is dual-core no matter the processing, a quad-core is a quad-core, and RAM is RAM. (i'm no super user, where i can tell the difference between the top line i7 and bottom line i5, or DDR3 1333 vs 2666)

we all know the next Nexus phone is going to be a quad-core with most likely 1GB/2GB RAM. and like computers, these kind of specs aren't impressing me anymore. if i cared about these specs, i would be picking up the Galaxy Note 2, or the HTC X+, and then be buying a phone every few months.

with that aside, what will make me switch to the new Nexus phone is simple- a 1080p resolution on a 4.8-5.1 inch display.

now the Galaxy Nexus has a 4.65" (316ppi) screen while the S3 has a 4.8" (306ppi) screen with the same 720x1280 resolution.

with the way Samsung and LG have been producing with their new display technologies, i can definitely see them making a phone with a higher PPI. hell, Nokia made a smaller 4.5" screen that has 768x1280 (332ppi).

i can't believe that even the Galaxy Note's 5.3" screen is only 800x1280 (224ppi). and more wtf... the Galaxy Note 2's 5.5" screen will have the S3's 720x1280 at 267ppi. with that much screen real estate, you would think they could cram more pixels into there?

anyways. yea. screen resolution will make me switch phones. let the debate begin. :p

on a very bonus side, a really good camera would be nice too. (not in the sense of megapixels tho).
