Lg esteem for Motion?

Today I'm offered to trade my esteem with $20 for Lg motion. They want $20 to fix screen because it is cracked but everything else is good. There motion is still in box with screen protecter on it. Think this would be a fair trade?

Yes that's a good deal. The LG motion has ics and even records video in 1080p plus a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

My opinion.. No.. although it is a bad ass little phone (room mate has one) you will notice the screen diff.. and there aren't hardly any devs on it.. I take part of that back.. if you have insurance and the cash, get another esteem, it's only 100 bucks.. otherwise the motion is the best bang for your buck.. motion can be rooted so far.. esteem you have choices for whatever.. motion not so much..

Ok everyone thanks for input..Just for update I did go ahead and trade for it. I do hate the screen size but it is faster imo than the esteem. It looks like this can be an amazing phone but we will see. Anyways heres a pic of the crack I had on there..he only wanted the phone plus $20..plus my motion has insurance and only cost $40(i think he said) for the deductible which is way better than $100. My wife has her esteem so I can still mess with hers if I ever miss it. :)

My esteem screen is cracked and I just upgraded my mom to the motion so being in the same arena I prefer the cracked screen over the small one. The motion is rad but lg has it slammed pretty tight so if your into themeing oc and roms might be a wait and that's if it ever comes. Esteem has mad development both stable and active. Esteem all the way. Just my opinion.

I have had the Esteem since the first week it came out and it is still to this very day the BEST phone all around that Metro PCS has to offer without question.. Given its superior 1 GHz Snapdragon processor with 4GBs of RAM.. It's 5.4 GBs of internal memory complemented with a 32GB Micro SD external memory card, 5 MP camera with HD video and !!!HDMI output!!! with a 1.3 MP front-facing camera... And of course it's all to sexy 4.3” Gorilla Glass display! Also lets not forget the Esteem's Snapdragon processor has no problem overclocking up to 2.0ghz and all the Rooting material one could ask for... The LG Motion with its ugly 3.5" display is a HUGE deal breaker for anyone with a Esteem.. My mom needed a new phone (Had a blackberry) and I got her the LG Motion cause its a good phone for anyone whos used to a small display and it has a dual core processor and decent internal memory space, But for us Esteem users once you have had the 4.3" display anything smaller is a HUGE deal breaker.. Just setting up my moms LG Motion and having to look at that smaller 3.5" display then going back to my 4.3" Esteem was such a relief! The only Phone that can compete with the LG Esteem at this very moment is the Samsung Galaxy S Lightray... And for people like me that have the Esteem its not even worth upgrading to the Samsung Galaxy S because the difference between the two is almost NOTHING at all.. For $459.99 the only difference is the 8.0 MP Camera and the Dyle Mobile TV... EVERYTHING else is the same except the Samsung Galaxy S even has A LOT LESS internal memory which is only 1.36 GBs! So,... BY FAR the LG Esteem is the best all around Smart Phone Metro PCS has to offer at the moment until the VERY VERY SEXY Samsung Galaxy S III comes to Metro which should be any week now!! That is the phone every Esteem user should be waiting to upgrade to without question!

The esteem does not have 4 gigs of ram, not even a gig.
I guess I'm just the type of people that prefer a lag less, smoother phone over a bigger screen. Plus the better battery life doesn't hurt at all.
I might just hold on to my motion till the nexus comes out then switch to prepaid t mobile. Imagine how to software updates for the gs3 on metro will be. Might get stuck on ICS for good unless you root.

You have a point the motion of course beats the esteem in performance I rather have the bigger display and don't mind the lag here and there the s3 for metro will have a strong community and porting jelly bean should be easy since samsung will release jelly bean in October so all we might have to do is download it to our s3 but at the is all about personal preference :)

Well if y'all get 4.1 paranoid android I might reconsider. My main problem is the lack of signal here. One to no bars at 1x here. It would be a crippled gs3.
They did say they were gonna launch 4g here in October when I bought the motion.

I've moved on to the motion and gave my wife the esteem and she retired her admire. As for the smaller screen, I dig it. If i want to watch netflix or so the motion has the phone on screen feature and don't need to keep the hdmi cable with me. It's a lot easyier to carry in my pocket, my wife carries hers in the purse with all else that girls cary. So i'm happy with my Pocket Rocket.
