Touch Music is good while driving and easy to use...you just can't select playlists...it plays all your music in shuffle...pretty basic but it has its moments
i was using "3" for a while but i was messing around with the stock player today and i discovered something.
no need to bypass the lock screen to get to the music player!
when you press the power button to turn the phone on, the music player is right there. no lock screen. although, its actually the stock player for milestone with the cover flow after a root, but still. this is awesome.

well if this really is a bug then it must be the best bug ever because it is so useful. hate having to unlock the screen every time just to skip a track.
i downloaded i Music from the market last night...think its pretty cool how I can search for a song much like iTunes and it will give you the option to hear it online or you can download it to your phone.
yeah i was finally gonna settle with this app
cuz it's so similiar to the itouch/iphone music (which everyone is very used to)
but it lists the songs in alphabetical order under albums
i can't stand that for some reason lol
i think tha'ts the only downside of it

Thanks for trying it out, I have fixed the album sorting and in the next update you will have the option of sorting them by track number or alphabetically.
I have been using Mort Player. It allows you to use folders of music rather than having to set up playlists. It also supports bluetooth controls. Doesn't do a good job on album art, but I usually turn off the screen anyway.

A few suggestions:
1. when the headphones are removed the song should pause like the stock player
2. when paused you should still be able to change the media volume
3.the open on menu option doesnt work for me
4. maybe have color options to make it fit in with the phone a little more. i like the interface, but would like more android style
5. need a widget bad. I absolutely need a widget to use while driving
kinda old thread but heres another suggestion
i did the update and the songs are in the album order instead of the alphabetical order which made it soooo much better
but one thing that bugs me
whenever im browsing through artists and everytime you press the back button, it takes you back all the way to the top of the artist list, rather than taking you back to where you were
could you update that??
1. make it so it doesnt have to find the songs EVERY time you start it.
2. Re-design the lock screen music widget thing. I hate it currently. See if you can put it on the main lockscreen, not a forwarded one that takes 2x as long to open.
I'll download this shortly but one of my gripes with the stock player is that it will pull all MP3 files (ie Podcasts) and I was wondering if yours allows it to only pull music files from one directory?

Same here. After trying quite a few music players, I have found Mixzing to be the best for my needs. The album art is nice, but the band information that it downloads is pretty cool. Not sure if any other player does this or not.
