Not saying that I myself think it is the mark of a noob. I have several stickers and was thinking of putting them on my PC but that was what other ppl said. If you look at videos of custom rigs on youtube none of them have stickers on.

Would the sticker me easy enough to remove without leaving residue?

If it is, I might consider moving it to the back of the case, or under one of the panels.

EDIT: Removed the Intel Inside sticker, and it left a whole load of residue behind. I'll try getting rid of that , but if I can't ...

Mabye I'll keep it on , but I think I might just have the one EVGA one as that actually looks good .

I realised that acetone, although brilliant at removing that sticker residue, is not something to put onto my computer case.

The bottom and top right corners of the side panel are now a lot lighter than the rest of it :-(

I managed to get all the residue off, but I'm left with a big patch around the bottom right corner...

I've posted this in another thread before, but this is the rig I built last year with a CPU I originally bought 3 years ago but then could not get enough money together to finish the build.

I've updated my rig - a little bit.

I bought a new Intel Cherryville 520 SSD (180 GB) and made it my main drive, and relegated my X25-M as a slave drive back on the regular SATA II channel. Best buy had them on sale for $159.99 + tax. A bargain, if you click the link and see hat it is currently going for (not counting eBay auctions).

Using a great little utility called Profile Relocator I've reinstalled Win 7 from scratch and moved the entire User tree for my profile over to the older SSD. Now, I have gobs of space for games, all my regular apps, and my profile is also on a fast SSD.

Win-win situation. I still have the dual 1 TB Barracuda mech drives for storage.

I have moved the LED fan from the side panel of my current HAF 932 based rig to the HAF-X and here it is on the 932 which is shortly to donate many of its components.

Here is my poor effort. A Mac Mini Aluminium from 2010 running at 2.4 GHz using 2 x 4 gb sticks of RAM to run Snow Leopard. It's pretty much a bog standard machine if you discount the extra DVD-RW drive.
It's wired up to a 52" plasma screen with a wireless keyboard and mouse so that I can control it all from my comfy recliner armchair.

My intention was to swap some of the better components out of my current rig (GPU, HDD's and Sound Card mainly) then sell the surplus from both rigs to finance it.
When I get this one completed I will be able to sell my i7 2600k CPU, ASUS Maximus IV Extreme - Z mobo, Antec H20 920 Kuler and HAF 932 case so I will get some money back.
BTW it was kind of a good thing I didn't get the ebay rig as the motherboard is , I think, discontinued. My new mobo has some nice features, one being that you don't need a backplate to fit a cooler.

Here's mine... yes, I'm lazy with the cables. I'll do them someday.

I plan to outfit with an SSD after xmas. It's OC'd to 4.1Ghz.

The rear fan is an Aerocool Shark 140mm which I chose because of its high power.
The cooler is a Corsair H100 in a push/pull configuration, I installed the corsair fans on top of the radiator with two Phobya Nano 2g fans (very quiet BTW) underneath. The Phobya fans were left over from my old rig.

Thats one of the best upgrades you can make, especially if you use it as the boot drive. After you get an SSD you won't want to go back to a mechanical drive :beer:
