anyone got their replacement yet?

I haven't traded mine in, but it usually only takes a few days and everyone has gotten the black one that I've seen.

So you got the call to? When did they call u? I have never had a problem with my phone, but I figured I'd love a free new phone, even if I have to reset it up. Why have you decided not to get one?...or are you waiting to see what others say.

I'm suppose to get my phone in 4 business days, so maybe next tuesday. From what I heard it is exactly the same with android 2.3. I'm curious if the microphone will still suck. I just left a msg about this on the stupid question thread.

I'm stoked that I get a brand new phone for free, even though it's the same. This time I can protect the rear from scratches since I know it scratches so easy...if it is black.

I got a couple of calls, they left a voice mail and a sent a bunch of texts. I was getting them around the end of August, I think they're doing it in stages. A lot of people over at Cricketusers have had problems with their Mercury and I haven't so far. My luck I would trade in mine and get a bad one. Plus I have one of the old ones and haven't updated it at all, so I don't have Muve music on it and my picture messages work perfectly. Everyone has had problems with that after the updates. I also have the Zagg full body kit on the battery cover and don't want to buy another one. (it really works, you can't scratch this stuff!)
I have had second thoughts because I'll probably need to buy a battery soon, but I can buy a battery cheaper than another Zagg Invisible Shield.

Damn, I decided not to get another one. I looked at mine, it still looks new, I never had problems with it, and it is set up like I want. I was excited yesterday when I was called, cause of the words free and new, but it's the exact same thing.

Meh, oh well.

Then again, my phone will be a year old in 2 months. AGHHHHHH. Can't decide. If it was white I might do it just cause it would be different.

I heard we were getting free muve music?? is this true??
That has nothing to do with the replacement phones. Cricket has new plans and Muve is included on all of them. The new cheapest plan is actually $5-$10 cheaper, $50 for 1 GB full speed data and Muve music. They also now have $60 for 2.5 GB and $70 for 5 GB plans. The $50 and $60 plans also have free tethering included as well. The plans will not change automatically, you have to change it yourself either at a dealer, online, or by phone.

Welcome to the forums!

Your apps are synced to your Google account so as long as you sign in with the same gmail you can download any paid apps without paying again. Knowing my luck I'd get a lemon if I traded mine in lol.

Well, I picked up my new phone replacement today. My old phone had 0 problems, but I realize in December it it would have been a year old, so I figured get a new one and it may last longer.

It is the exact same phone. Just the writing on the back is a little different.
My old phone was in prestine shape. No scratches except for tiny ones on the back panel you can barley notice, so It really doesn't feel different. It does feel quicker, but that's probably cause I have yet to set up any thing.

I know Gmash swears by Zagg full body kit, but I' gonna stick with my plastic case, heh. I just love the look of the blue case.

The guy did open my phone up and looked very carefully for damage which there was none. I didn't take my box that my phone came in, so he couldn't give me the new box cause he has to ship it back in one. So if your going to do this, make sure you take your box that you bought your phone in.

By the way, there was a fifteen dollar charge for moving my # to the new phone. Also make sure you pay cash, if you use a card, they add an extra dollar on that charge.

One thing I think is great is that the name Cricket is nowhere on the phone!

Well, Gonna start setting up my phone. Figure I'll change it up and use something other then go launcher ex.

I appreciate it. What's the deal with needing a muve sd card in order to download the music. What is the point of that? I'm just learning about this, so I don't know much about it.

Do you have a Muve music sd card, or will you get one. I mean, if i have this music available, I should get it, but what about my 16GB sd card. This whole thing kind of pisses me off.

Is it impossible to transfer muve music downloads to a regular sd card?

Yeah, you have to have the Muve SD card to use the Muve service. That's one of the things that sucks about it. Also, you can't transfer the music anywhere else, and it's in some super compressed format. I haven't tried it, but I can't imagine it sounds that great. I can understand why you can't transfer the music, that's probably the only way the record companies would go for it. It would be huge for piracy if you could download unlimited music and move it to a computer.
There's some more info on Muve here:

Right now I'm happy that there are still plenty of apps, in which I can get free music, and I have a lot already. Lady at Clear said something about, that I will not be able to download free music from these apps anymore by the end of the year.

I Imagine that was just her push at trying to get me to buy a Muve SD.

I understand that these free music sites go up and get shut down, but she made it sound as if something would be put in place in which those apps would no longer be available by the end of the year.

I don't believe that's true, but I'm downloading more and more music whenever I get a chance, in case they do dissapear.

Yeah, I read that in the thread you posted. Honestly I think that guy ripped me off, partially cause he didn't know what he was doing (he had to make phone calls asking questions), and partially cause he's a bastard. I try not to think about it. I got a new phone, and paid a perhaps unnecessary 15$ on it and no sd card.

I'm not gonna drive my self crazy on this. I would'nt use the card if I had it.

Lol, yeah, not that big of a deal. I wouldn't use it, either. 3 GB for music, and 1 GB for everything else? Weak.
