Verizon Note 2 Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

Verizon won't be out until after the holidays. I've been through the release of the Incredible, Thunderbolt, and Galaxy Nexus. You can see my history of dissapointment with verizon releasing devices timely to match their fellow competetors. I would be ok with always being the last to get new devices time after time if they would be honest with us and say why we are always late to the table.

There is a disgruntled post for you........ Stop spreading rumors which don't do anyone any good.

I was... and am.. prepared to jump ship from Verizon to get a hold of a Note 2 64 GB. They better not screw this up. I'd rather stay put because they do have the superior network, but if they push me I have no problem moving back to AT&T.

It bothers me that we haven't heard anything since those photos with a Verizon logo plastered on the home button were released. That still better have been just a sticker or I will declare myself as having had my fill of Verizon's BS.

I'll jump in on this wild ride. Why all the 64gb people? I'd think 32gb +64gb sd card would be good. I bet the 64gb is about $100 more.
If it's cheaper, I'll get the 64gb.

I think that's just par for the course. I mean we all want the car w/ the biggest engine, but at the end of the day do we really need it? To each his own I guess.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing - why not just get the smaller version but after some thought thinking about my iphone experience, I am opting to go with the higher gb version just to be safe:

1). I download some apps that take up massive amounts of data - ie, gogo mobile navigator which is a Korea turn by turn GPS navigator. It actually installs the entire map database locally so you can use it regardless of service. The database is 2.5 gigabytes. I also have the Garmin US one which also has a large database. That's like 5 GBs right there.

2). I also download some big games that are 1-2 GB.

3). I Take a lot of photos.

4). I load a lot of movies and Korean dramas onto my phone - you laugh about the movies which are 1-2 gb, but the dramas are 20-30 episodes long and can total 20-30 GBs in aggregate! Yeah I don't need to have all of them on there, but I'm lazy! And I could convert them to a lower rez to match the note an have smaller files - again, I'm lazy.

6) I don't know jack about rooting? This is probably noob of me but I'm guessing may be some complications changing apps to run off sd card vs internal memory? I kind of just want to let the programs install the way they were designed to be installed/run. Thoughts? Caveat - this will be my first android device.

One device to rule them all. I have 80 gigs of music (and growing) and want to just throw it all on just as I do with my iPod Classic. I've wanted to do that for several years now instead of picking and choosing within a limited amount of storage. Obviously I want plenty of headroom after that so a 64 GB SD Card with 16 or 32 GB internal isn't going to cut it. This is the first phone to offer the amount of space I've been wanting with only the iPhone coming close with the 64 GB model... and I wasn't about to go back to that hell.

Cloud services can't do it all, they are just supplementary.

OT Wangta how long does it take to convert the Korean dramas? There's a couple I wish to keep on my phone as well :)

I'm getting really impatient now. Seeing everyone else enjoy their Note 2 is making me downright jealous. I've already jumped the gun and ordered a case for it lol. If Verizon isn't smart again and releases really late I might just get the S3. I feel like I will regret it, darn my impatience!

Amazing how this device will be in T-Mobile stores in less than 48 hours & this Verizon prelease thread, you know the #1 network  , is the deadest thread here in the Note 2 forum.

I def have to agree with you on that. Maybe a miracle will happen and Verizon will release this Friday and shock everyone! The android lover in me can dream! Haha
