The interactive user guide is available from the play store. Very useful.

Ok so we have had some very funny ones but here is a serious one, some of you may know already..

If you have a lots of apps, did you know that rather than scrolling through them all you can click on apps button on the home screen and then use 2 fingers to pinch the screen together, all of you apps will now be shown on mini home screens :)

The standout feature is Google Voice Search. It was a bit iffy at first but it seems to be getting increasingly accurate and rarely misunderstands me, less than a day after I got the phone.
The different layout to Gallery is improved, with a sidebar preview.
It must have a better aerial or something because whereas with the S3 I couldn't get an internet connection in my favourite pub, now it works all the time.
Oh, and the keyboard now has the numbers at the top of the letters - much more sensible.

I'm trying to visually see that in my head and I can't. Sounds cool though.

When you're in your emails/contacts/lists and you're near the bottom, double tab the top of your phone and watch the magic happen!

Also, when you're on a contact, whether it's on their message, a log, or their data file, just put the phone to your ear and it'll call them!
I seriously need to remember coming back to this thread and try these things once I get the Note.

This one is really intriguing. Any way you can get a screen shot of that?

What does this mean?!!!...LOL...does it pull a david coperfield and start flying?

Now that is cool and I'd use that for sure...well...maybe. I was going to try to use this phone, without ever having to put it up to my ear for a phone call, but just to try that function would be worth it!...hahaha

Interesting, so the app drawer has homescreen previews, like the top UI. If those can actually be organized, that's pretty cool... But, I'm not likely to use touch wiz.

??? so you will use a custom ROM?
that does not have touchwiz...

how will that affect the SPen?? and all the associated functions and apps? I would think there is some tie between Touchwiz and the SPen.

Nope, I don't root. I use 3rd party launchers and plan on using Nova. You don't need to root to have a different UI skin.

That's why i never pay attention when there's criticism of the OEM UI. If that's the biggest complaint of a review, then I don't immediately rule out that phone unless there are things I don't like with the hardware.

Just made one myself - an easy way to add a photo to a contact without having to take their real-time picture. However, you still need to have their previously taken picture stored somewhere.
1. Open the contact's picture in Gallery
2. Take out the S-pen.
3. Hold down the S-pen button and draw around the area of the picture that you want to use
Note: draw a bigger area than needed and beware of the yellow square around the face!
4. Dump the selected area in Scapbook
5. Go to contacts and select the needed one.
6. Tap on the place for photo, select "S-Note" from the pop-up menu
7. Select Scrapbook and you'll find the selection
8. Using S-Pen, refine your selection with the rectangle tool that appears (here you'll see why you had to select a bigger area)
9. Click "Done"

Sorry, it does not sound easy with so many steps, but once you try it, you'll find out it IS easy.
