Ok now that the Lucid has ICS, is anyone else not exactly happy with the Google search at the top of the screen but under the notification bar? I've looked through all the settings area's and can not figure out how to disable this. Does anyone know what steps are needed to disable it or is this something that was put into ICS as a standard feature that can't be removed or disabled??????

Note I'm just talking about the search that's on the screen, not the standard search in the apps drawer....

You can't long press it to bring up any options or drag to trash bin?

Nope, it won't allow you to long press it. It assumes you're pressing to do a search. The plus sign just brings up the apps/downloads/widgets/wallpapers customization screen. And those wondering about the percentage meter on the notification screen it's in settings/power saver then scroll down to bottom battery information - there's a tick box for battery percentage indicator....

Yeah I messed with it and seems like you can't get rid of it.

For real, consider a launcher like Apex. Its free, and you can customize the heck out of it.

Also, YOU ROCK for the battery percentage. I had thought it was a great place to have the percentage but thought it wasn't actually a section I could go into!

THanks!

I found a tip on another forum. Kill and disable the "Google Search" under your apps. Made it go away for me and doesn't seem to be flustering any other features.

Yeah that works, didn't realize the bar on apps slides over, thought it only had downloaded and internal, should have figured that one out... LOL
