Hi, i'm new to tasker and android forum. I want to have these tasks if it's possible:

1) I want my Wi-Fi to turn on when i am at home. I tried using cell near but i get bad reception at home which leads to Wi-Fi disconnection. I tried Wi-Fi scan but this keeps Wi-Fi on all the time. Any better way to do this?

2) Secondly I created a profile school
It makes my phone go silent, Wi-Fi off, full brightness, and 3G on. As I only use 3G sometimes like break and lunch I don't want it to stay on all 6 hours when I am only going to use it for a bit. So is it possible for tasker to turn off 3G when i lock my phone. I tried using this with Display Off but if i check its still on even though I set it to wait 10 seconds before turn on 3g

3) How can I say to tasker that open an app when i connect my charger to my device?

thank you please help

1) either location context or time context + day context

2) not sure what you want. Mobile data off when screen off? Not sure how you'd check this. Turning screen on may cancel the task.
Test the task manually from the edit screen. Use the play button

3) state - power - source

Hi And welcome to the forum and to Tasker. Just some friendly advice. I have found in my experience of learning tasker that You may get a better response If you make a thread for each question instead of putting 3 questions on 1 thread. Also, Remember that nobody knows what your experience level is with tasker so the majority of the time you will get short and to the point answers of what to do but not how to do it. If you don't know how to do What someone is telling you to do don't be afraid to ask "how exactly do you do that" And there may be someone who can take the time to Explain all the steps to you.

I hope my post didnt sound rude because i wasn't trying to be rude. I was just reflecting on my experiences and trying to help a fellow member out. Believe me. I made those same mistakes and got frustrated with trying to learn Tasker and quit trying to learn it for 3 months then tried it again and I am so glad I did. This is the best app on the market bar none.

I can't get used to calling the "play store".
