Hey guys, I have a droid bionic and just got the OTA update for ICS. I rooted my bionic last year, and deleted a few stock apps before realizing I should not have. Everything was fine but now I am getting error message when trying to install ICS...assuming it is because I don't have a few stock apps. Unfortunately I don't remember which apps I deleted.

Can anyone help me?
My current system version is 5.9.905.XT875
Android Version 2.3.4

Please?!....Thank you!

One more thing...I did 'backup' using titanium backup back when I rooted. I have the file saved on this computer...its a folder with 798files in it....not really sure if this is what I need or if it can fix my problems?

If possible, the safest route in my opinion would be to FXZ .905 for a fresh start and a clean slate.

But that's my personal answer for everything.

There may be other ways. :)

Thanks for replying....a factory reset will restore apps that I permanently deleted while rooted?
No, it will not.
Follow the instructions in this thread and use the modified .905 file.
http://androidforums.com/bionic-all-things-root/480176-how-flash-5-9-902-5-9-905-rsdlite.html
That file will give you a fully restored system but will not delete your user data. However, it WILL format the internal SD card so be sure to back up anything important you have stored there first.
Then you should be able to dl the ICS update with no issues.
Also note, when you flash the .905 file you will lose root.
Don't worry, dl the ICS update and then re-root.
No use rooting the recovered .905 system since the ICS update will break root as well.

It's not exactly a factory reset - but, yes, installing the FXZ file will return all of the stock apps to the phone.

The Titanium Backup files will not help, unfortunately - Titanium does not back up the system apps, as it does with user apps - just the system data.

When you do get up and running again and if you choose to root again, I *strongly* recommend that you use Titanium Backup Pro (buy the pro version - it is worth it) and use Titanium to freeze any apps that you don't want, rather than deleting them. You can then "thaw" them later to get them back when the Jellybean update comes.
