I'm getting ready to say good by to my two year relationship with Captivate and I'm leaning towards the new Atrix hd. But I'm really having trouble excepting this idea that the battery is non removable. I've never had to replace a phone battery in the last three phones I've owned but I have had to pull the battery to fix a phone being locked up or froze. Almost multiple times a day with my captivate the last two months.

So... should I be worried? What's going to happen when the Atrix freezes up(you know it's going to happen)? I'm so used to pulling the battery to fix a problem that I just can't pull the trigger on this phone.

Any help, opinions, ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you

I appreciate that and I would definitely be surprised if the AHD locked up this quick. I will keep a phone for two years or longer if it would last. My Captivate didn't freeze up until probably 6 months to a year. What then? The only reason I'm looking at this phone seriously is because all the sales people say Motorola has the best signal and Samsung the worst. I live on the edge of service and my Samsung drops calls frequently. Can you vouch for the signal strength being better than a Samsung?

A. I would never keep a phone that was THAT buggy. Just say'n.

B. I owned the Atrix 4G from day one release until day one release of the HD. Previously I owned Samsung, Pantech, and even a Sanyo or 2. I have never had the level of hardware/software issues with Motorola than I had with any of the others.

C. Motorola is a quality PHONE first and an incredible device second. I get great coverage regardless of in town, at the lake in route and even in basements, elevators and office buildings.

If you were happy enough to stay with your Craptivate for 2 years, you'll love Moto. :smokingsomb:

Just my 2c. :D

I think I'm going to do it. Purchased the gs3 from a corporate store for $149 (price match) but I'm giving it to my wife as soon as I purchase the atrix hd. You can order it online from the W Mart and its free. Afraid I'm going to drop this S3 and the atrix felt awesome in my hands. Someone said the iPhones have inaccessible batteries as well so maybe its all right. Thanks for the input.

My ATRIX HD is coming today. Right now I have been using a HTC One X it made me realize never buy a HTC phone again because htc sense sucks but I'm gonna miss the 4.7" screen it has on it. And I'm guessing you gave your wife the Atrix HD.....

I had a co-worker buy the atrix and I tried it out.... no atrix for me or the wife. The signal was just as bad as the S3 so I'm getting another S3.
