Help My Note hasn't 100% charged since I've had it

Typically I charge it for a few hours when I leave home and start using it when I get home. Only had it 3 days. Last night I left it charge all night about 8 hrs and woke up this morning at 77%. Is this common to charge slow? I use gsam battery, so the widget told me 77, but the oem battery icon was not green to the top, so I assume gsam is accurate.

Haven't got a note 10.1 yet but I did have a galaxy 10.1 for a while and it charged to 100% within around 3 - 4 hours, IIRC.

If I let mine get down to around 20%, it will take several hours to charge fully. I am not sure what would cause it to not fully charge. Have you tried a factory reset? Or maybe try calling Samsung Support for a warranty claim.

Are you using the factory charger brick or a after - market brick?
Eventhough it's the same voltage, some just don't work well with certain devices.

Yeah, I would backup anything you want saved and try a factory reset.

mines takes about to 5 - 6 hours for a full charge. and thats when im usually under 20%. try closing all your apps make sure nothing is running in the background or try powering off the device. also if that dont work try a different electric outlet.

but i use the charger that came with the device and i have the charger plugged into one of these.
not sure this effected the charging time. probably.

The general advice is that you need to charge the device until it reach 100%. In addition, if you leave for too much hours after it is fully charged, this can damage the battery so that the indication of the battery percentage will not be accurate . Also when charging and using it at the same time that will extend the period of charging ( specailly games) .

Or drain at a slower rate if there's not enough power to charge the battery while it's being used (eg. Car charger).

And most devices are smart to cut power the moment the battery is fully charged so battery won't be damaged by over charging.

Had the same problem last night 3rd day of owning it got to 20% went to bed at 11pm woke up at 720 and it was 74% I'm using wall charger my s3 uses though.

A lot of people posted replies but none of u said how long yours actually took or takes to charge.????

If you are using the same wall charger as your SIII, the problem is probably with the voltage. Most smartphone chargers only charge at 1A and the Note 10.1 charger sits at 2A. So it would take considerably more time to charge using a smaller wall charger.

Thanks mate!! I don't know why Samsung don't supply dual usb chargers

I spoke to the makers of andru and told them to make a dual one and one that's compatible in Australia

Used to my phone wall socket today at work... 5 hours from 18% to 38% got home used the 10.1 socket from 38 to 78 in 2 hours.!!!

Sounds like your work outlet might be to blame. I would try to make sure you have a full charge before going to work.

Socket has nothing to do here. The phone's charger only outputs 1A and the tablet's 2A, so there is no mystery or fault here.

That is what I said a couple of posts up the thread. And I think we moved past that and he was using the 2A charger now. The only differences here were the outlets locations at work and at home. I know where I work the electricity use in each cube is monitored for the usage (eliminating things like little heaters, small coffee makers, etc...).

I was hoping that with my previous post about the difference between phone and tablet chargers, it sounded like there was a light bulb that went off.

You have to use tablet charger for a tablet AND a phone charger for a phone! There are plenty of dual USB chargers, but always check the amps. There are none that I have seen that have different amp ports, both have the same output.

I am Polish and I understood that, if someone did not, they have a problem.
