Best GN2 Screen Protector

Everyone I've turned on to SPG ... and I literally mean every person, and then every phone in their family... has thanked me profusely. The quality is quite evident in the beginning, but the real payback and benefit is when it still looks and feels great a year or more later. Most grew accustomed to the drag on Zagg and didn't realize how yellow it turned until they removed it.

I would challenge anyone to try one, then see for yourself Zaggs are not much better than the multi-packs of crap you can get for a couple bucks. It's like driving an old car that you're comfy with and love, then driving a Lexus or another high end car - you wonder why the hell you thought your old car was 'the bomb'. LOL

No offense to anyone, it is what it is.

There are so many advantages sgp has over zagg

1) ultra crystal and oleophobic look and feel like the glass screen, except it's so much easier to clean and don't have to worry about scratching.
2) dry install
3) cheaper and comes with 2, if you need.
4) lasts way longer than zagg
5) no orange peel effect
6) No concern about yellowing effect

I swore by zagg for so long, not realizing there were other protectors that were just as reputable. I honestly feel that if nobody has tried anything but zagg, they are just content with zagg because of history, which is fine.

I'm just thankful for these forums, which is how I discovered sgp.

With all of the positive comments on this thread, I've got my heart set on sgp :) I'm just waiting for them to come out with cases for the Note 2, as I understand they include free ultra crystal screen protectors in some.

edit: leather case folio coming soon! http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-note-2.html still, i kind of want something with closure.

Sgp's screen protector is great. Not sure how good cases are. I'm sure you could shop around elsewhere for that.

Invisible Shield is awful. I used to use that on my past devices, until I discovered SGP. Never again.

I have used invisible shield products for the past 6 years and like others, ran into the yellowing issue. However, they recently released their "HD" line of screen protectors, which are more of a really hard clear plastic, and they do not yellow (it's in my iphone now as I type this). I can't say how it compares to SGP, but it actually works pretty well and is a huge upgrade from their old soft material they used to use that was probe to yellowing. Only downside - it is still a wet install, however, having installed three for 6 years it's become a pretty easy process. Also, they only make the HD version for a limited number of devices (ie: iPhone).

With that said, given the number of positive comments about SGP, I'm going to give them a try for the Note 2. I just wanted people to be aware of the "new" zagg product offering.

Just ordered a SGP Ultra Optics protector for my N7105 [Note 2] that I ordered today :) Thought for me it was the best balance between visibility, fingerprint resistant, thickness and anti glare ;) Thanks to this thread

I find it kind of funny because I haven't seen any talk of the the Ultra Optics in this thread yet... :D

I'm sure you will love the Ultra Optics.
Even if there is something small that you don't like about it, you will still be able to see the overall value.
(I can talk at great length about the different SGP lines, but I'm keeping it short to spare you all)

Only reason I've never considered the Ultra Optics is I'm not a fan of matte screen protectors. But I haven't seen it in person, to really evaluate how different it is.

The ultra crystal has always been my favorite. Just ordered it from amazon in anticipation of Thursday;). After all the reviews about how easily the screen can scratch I'm paranoid.

Yup. Me too. I'm trying the oleophobic this time because many people have stated that it's just as clear as the ultra crystal, except it minimizes the amount of oil residue as compared to the ultra. If I don't like it, I'll just buy the ultra crystal as I've done in the past.

why is there a gap, is it a note 1 product or is it due to a curved screen and is one likely to be launched whcih covers the whole area?

No its a Note 2 screen protector for sure. Not sure why they didn't make it to fit to the outside tight but really its no deal breaker for me as you only notice this by looking into the light at a certain angle. I have never used a protector on any phone because of looks but like I say this one is hardly noticeable.

edit: leather case folio coming soon! GALAXY NOTE 2 Cases | GALAXY NOTE 2 Screen Protector | SPIGEN SGP still, i kind of want something with closure.

I just looked at this case on their site. Offers corner protection where Samsung's flip case doesn't.

My screen protector arrived Sat. I just happen to see it while putting toys away in the toy tote. Damn kids! :D

Just ordered the Ultra Optics from Spigen. Really wanted an anti-glare screen and you cant argue with the quality that everyone claims Spigen has. This will be my first screen protector from them and my first Matte screen protector. Interested to see how it effects clarity and interested to see how bad the rainbow effect is.
