Why doesn't this app update? I have not had any notifications about posts but if I manually refresh I have all these updates? Is this a common problem?

this is how it's designed.. really needs an update as some notifications don't even show up in the program at all. The mobile website is much better..

mine updates just fine. go to settings / accounts & sync and make sure FB is enabled.

Only thing I did was download Facebook Touch and when you use that app, it does have notifications when you open the app. It still doesn't send any notifications when the app is not running however this is the closest thing to seeing your notifications (In the upper left hand corner of the App when it is opened)

there are many many facebook threads and the one common outcome is that facebook for android is trash! period and i agree
