There has been one thread talking about Bluetooth headsets and it did not receive many replies. There have been a zillion threads about the Moment's difficulty in connecting via Bluetooth ("Paired but not connected").

If your Bluetooth headset works great with the Moment (e.g. connects consistently, good sound quality, etc.) PLEASE post the manufacturer and model in this thread.

Likewise, if your headset stinks, that is probably good information also, so post that too.

I use the Jabra 350 and it pairs well, once in a few days after it's been paired (and used for phone calls as well as media) it seems to self-disconnect (what I mean by this is all the clickey sounds go through the phone's speaker, not the bluetooth, but any phone calls and media audio still go through the bluetooth), but a simple off/on on the bluetooth fixes this promptly.

The sound quality isn't quite as good as speaking directly into the phone's micrphone, but it's the best Bluetooth that I've ever used (and I make a lot of calls in a very loud, industrial, diesel vehicle)

Samsung WEP870, I bought it to replace a well liked Plantronics 855 that I washed. It's a convertible stereo headset with duel mic noise reduction. I paid $7.88 after rebate. about $70 less than the 855 cost me 2 years before. I wasn't expecting much from the WEP870 considering the price, but it's a better basic bt headset than the 855. The noise reduction works well and audio plays through when the headset is in mono mode. The WEP870's stereo set up is a little more complicated and looks a little geekier wearing a bt headset necklace. Overall, the WEP870 sounds better than the 855. The only major thing missing from the WEP870 are transport controls. With the 855 I could pause audio from the headset, with the WEP870 I have to use the phone.

How can you play music thru your ear piece? When I try, the phone plays it and it's annoying if I try in the middle of class.... Help?? Please ??

Your headset has to support audio streaming. You can check by -
menu> wireless controls > Bluetooth settings > tap and hold your headset entry and select options. If there's a media entry, check it and you should be good to go. If there's no media entry, your headset doesn't support it. There were apps for WM that allowed streaming over any bt headset, but I've never seen this for Android. When I used such an app on my old 6700/moto bt, the audio was awful and it killed the battery life on both phone and headset.

err..Don't use ebay? Too easy to get ripped off, too hard to make returns.

For bt headset deals. Headsets are one of the most popular items on these sites, so it won't take long to find something from a respectable dealer. This is how I found my WEP870 for $7.88 delivered after rebate from Buy.com. Remember that the ales a time sensitive, so you should check at least every day. Good hunting!

i don't use a bluetooth headset but in my car i use the moto rokr t505 which is a bluetooth speaker phone with fm transmitter. it works AWESOMELY

i turn the bluetooth on my phone on first
then turn on my t505 and it connects by itself
i then turn on the fm trasmitter
start music on the phone and it goes over the speakers in my car
the music stops when a call comes in and i can talk
the rokr has a mic in it so i can talk normally

also the call button on the rokr works perfectly. i can say call dad and it works everytime

I can't remember exactly what model I am using off the to of my head right now, but I was having some serious static issues with my bt... up until this past week. Now it suddenly works flawlessly. The signal is clear, strong, and it stays connected. I didn't do anything?

Anyways, in addition to Pasta's suggestions. If you are a little more patient, Amazon.com is always running lightning deals, and they put up bt headsets several times per week. Amazon.com Gold Box: New Deals. Every Day. that's where I picked up mine. Though it doesn't appear that any will be put up today:eek:

I have the Motorola MotoRokr S9-HD bluetooth headset and I absolutely love it. I use it everyday, usually 3-5 hours a day. It lasts 6 hours on 1 charge, so I just charge it over night every night.

I listen to a 1 1/2 hour podcast that I download each week day for news, then I listen to a couple hours of Dave Ramsey and Car Talk through Google Listen. If I'm run out, I just pull up Pandora. The pause and play buttons on the headset make this a dream come true headset.

In the middle of listening to audio, I can answer a call or place a call, and once I hang up or they hang up, my audio automatically resumes.

I rarely have any problems with this headset connecting to my phone. I just turn BT on on my phone, and then turn the headset on. It connects in 2 seconds automatically. Been using the headset since early December 2009.

Do any of these headsets have background noise cancellation? I know it's a dumb question but I wouldn't mind one because when I talk to ppl they say the background noise is just as loud as me so it's annoying to them. Plus it would be nice to use when I riding my motorcycle, a friend of mine has one that he uses when rding his and can't hear anything but him.

Jabra BT350, had it for about 4-5 years and I love the darn thing. Connects consistently and is the most trouble-free device I've ever owned.

As for the background noise, oddly enough everyone said I was nice and clear before the going to CL14 but afterward they can hear my engine and everything around me. I don't really care except for when I'm trying to drive wide open and talk at the same time.

Noise cancellation is becoming common these days. The Jawbone's have pretty serious NC, even my cheap Samsung WEP870 has dual mic NC, but the current NC champ based on the reviews I've read seems to be the Plantronic Voyager Pro.
