Linux Emulator?

Hi,
This is my first post on the site so bear with me

I got a new tablet, an ampe a10 and iT's awesome, but even tho it has an ARMv7 cpu i can't run linux ontop of android on it, so my question is, if there exists an emulator that enables you to run linux applications on it? i mean if it has dosbox it is possible no?

Try a search.....nexus 7 ubuntu 12.10.

It might work on your machine if your primary is ubuntu os.

Thanks, i checked and read a few sites about it, i do have an ubuntu on my PC but are you sure this would work? Or at least that it wouldn't brick my tablet? Just asking since it's not a nexus.
For instance it has a 1gb inner storage and a 12gb inner SD so would the program know where to put what?

I guarantee you that this either won't work, or it will turn you're tablet into a brick.

Umm thanks, i guess that answers that question.
Still looking tho, does an emulator really not exist?
