Sprint Network outage effects Boost Mobile NYC

Hi Everyone,

Today my area in New York Queens has an outage and that I had to call Boost Mobile and they said in my area there is an outage. I know it is because of Hurricane Sandy. I know Boost Mobile uses the Sprint Network so it will effect Boost Mobile customers. The rep said even if I do get service it will be drop calls and it will affect txt and the web. They will give me credit of $1.35 each day if I don't have service and I will have to call them up in order to get credit. Did anyone have a problem with their Boost Mobile services in NYC?

Yes I see. Call Boost and ask for service credit. They said to me everything in my area will be fine on Friday and I will have a total of $4.00 service credit by then.

Hi Everyone,

Today I just got my service fully restored at 5:00PM. I will call Boost Mobile and get my credit back. The rep I spoke to yesterday each day for the outage is $1.00. WOW so that means I will get a total of $5 back. I know $5 is not much but at least it is something.

If your living in Queens, you shall already know that service will not be fully restored until Nov. 10. (Supposedly)

Due to power outage and floods for where Boost/Sprint towers are, service will be sucky and bad until fully restored.

Do not hesitate!

On the bright side, $1.00 a day to all Boost Customers who are affected. Call Boost, 1-888-266-7848 ..... Wait until automated is in English, Press 5, then 2, then 4, then after automated Press 1 if your an existing customer or 2 if your new.

I just scored myself $10.00 . Woohoo, it's not much, but its $10.00 less than what I have to pay. Lol.

Boost told you that it should be fixed by Nov 10? Thanks for the info. I think certain part of Queens are effected because my friends lives in another part of Queens she is not effected.

Just called Boost Mobile today I have an outage again. Ugh they said it will be definitely repaired by Nov 11 in Queens area. So I have to call them back on Nov 11 again to get credit. It went back on the 4th so I though it was good but now I only have 1 bar and it goes on and off. I guess I have to ask for credit again ugh. On the 5th it was acting up again. I guess it was a false positive that I had full coverage on the 4th of this past Sunday.

Yeah my coverage has been all over the place. They did discount me $10 so I guess that will quiet my nagging, for now. The guy did also mention the overhaul. Lets hope it gets pretty smooth from here.

Great you have $10.00. Let's see what happens and hope this nightmare is over. Oh yes when I called Boost Mobile they said that the Sprint coverage will be overhaul and will make an expansion and it be large so that is good.
