Help new email in dropbox even after clearing

So as title says i'm having this problem with my galaxy S2, Started 2 days ago but it keeps showing new email from stock mail app (use it to check yahoo emails) in the drop box even after i check and clear it, Tried clearing app data, Tried rebooting phone, Tried a factory reset and nada, still showing, Currently its on version 2.3.6 model number SGH-T989 Any advice?

The only thing I can think of right now would be go to settings > applications, select the all tab and scroll down to the email app. Clear data and cache and reboot.

Anyway like i said in OP already tried that, Tried a reboot, Tried both, Even tried a full out factory reset, Still dont work.

I'm kinda out of ideas

Ah sorry. I shouldn't post at 6:30am.

Have you tried syncing Yahoo mail with Gmail? I don't use Yahoo but there are several how to's. Here is one I found.
