I'm rather Annoyed if they do use Fedex

==
I expect a shipping delay and it will leave AT&T Shipping center in Texas by Thursday Nov 8 - of course they will ship it Fedex Home - for a Saturday Delivery - but because i live in an industrial area of town - Fedex Home will claim (attempt made, but occupant not there) when in fact Fedex Home Never delivers to my neighborhood on Saturdays.
Of course Fedex Home does not work on Mondays - so at best I think its a least a week away from being delivered.

FedEx is excellent in my area (NJ). They deliver packages 6 days of the week and they usually deliver to me at like 9am. I hope it's FedEx and not UPS. :p

Fedex Truly is terrible here where i am (Central California Coast)

UPS is superior out here.

Of course I live a block away from the UPS depot, while the local Fedex Depot is 40 miles away.

If a sender is emphatic about sending something to me via FEDEX - the local regional routing center always converts my packages to the Fedex Home Delivery system - which is run by franchised individuals using their own van - once had a Fedex Home driver give me an Amway products sales pitch before he would deliver my package

I suggest anyone interested in this thread to check the AT&T Galaxy Note 2 delivery thread here:

Heard Galaxy Note II is starting to ship Monday! - AT&T Community Support

On 11/04/2012

Chat from AT&T representative:

Evelyn: Unfortunately, it is currently on backorder. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Evelyn: We have sold out of the device and are waiting for additional inventory. Unfortunately, we do not have an anticipated delivery date as inventory levels vary from day-to-day. You will receive an e-mail from us when your item has shipped.
and this conflicting info

Just had another chat with AT&T Rep, now look at what they are saying:

Suzzanne: Welcome to AT&T online Sales support. How may I assist you with placing your order today?
A-N-D-R-O-I-D: Is the Galaxy Note 2 on back order? Or are you shipping 11/6 per ATT website?
Suzzanne: Shipping is to go out on November 6th
A-N-D-R-O-I-D: can we verify that?
Suzzanne: It is verified.
A-N-D-R-O-I-D: really? just a couple of seconds ago i was told the phone was on back order?
Suzzanne: I was told it wasn't let me double check.
A-N-D-R-O-I-D: ok thanks
Suzzanne: your welcome
Suzzanne: Yes I was just told that it will be sent out on the 6th.
A-N-D-R-O-I-D: Ok great. Because the last two reps i talked to said it was back ordered, did something change?
Suzzanne: No, I just talked to a supervisor and they said it will be sent out on the 6th.
A-N-D-R-O-I-D:: alright thanks, i appreciate it....just odd two reps told me it was back ordered
Suzzanne: Yeah it is weird. Sorry, I got my information from a higher up just to make sure for you.

Also I will repost this message with good info from another buyer with prior experience using AT&T Pre-order

Hi, been on AC forums talking about the Note2/preorder/Samsung multiwindow being on VZW and when AT&T will get it...etc..etc...

anyway...someone spoke about a previous preorder experience he had. I think we'll all be fine...just be patient.

http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-galaxy-note-2/222649-shipment-note-2-a.html#post2299184

--- he said ----
i ordered through premier and based on my last pre-order of a high demand phone, the orders should be released to FedEx around 10pm tonight for standard overnight and delivered the next day.

The status page got updated well after i already got the phone and the email stating it was shipped was way, way after that (midnight before official launch).

Again, this is based on a previous pre-order of a much more highly anticipated phone. The warehouse is correct as Fort Worth Texas.

Just sit back, relax, and prepare for a nice surprise at your doorstep tomorrow.

----my reply----
Yeah, I preordered on the 25th before noon, overnight shipping. So, I hope you are right mycabrandz...as I haven't done this before. Thanks for the details of your last preorder adventure.

I would expect that they aren't giving us much of an update until they start moving the product out the door...then we should get a tracking number, etc. For overnight...maybe, like you said, we won't even see the status until after we get it. One can only hope. I wasn't going to check much until late tonight but had to take a peek

----later post by him---
well, even though i had a good idea when I am actually going to have it in my hands, I still check periodically so i can definitely relate. i am more anxious to get this phone than any other previous ones.

Just to add further context my previous pre-order was also within 12 hours of pre-order opening up (the Note2 I pre-ordered within the hour of pre-order). I am in Northern California but I think if it is standard overnight, location does not matter much. My friendly FedEx delivery person dropped it off by 1pm.
Must be patient!

Lisa: I have located your order.
Lisa: Your device has been ordered during a special pre-order event. Pre-ordered devices are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will notify you by e-mail when your device has shipped from our warehouse.
Me: Have other orders for Note 2 have begun being shipped?
Lisa: Pre-orders have just begun shipping today.

Shipment of the Note 2 - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

I ordered through premier and it still says processing. I called the customer service who said that they have been told shipping won't happen until the 9th. I questioned this since the website says Nov 6th still and she said they will be updating that soon. So I'm not really sure who is right. I hope they are shipping today!!!!

Election day is a bad day to begin a new product shipment - with mandatory time off to vote enforced at many companies.

No news yet from anyone huh? I chatted online with a rep regarding my shipping status and she said it's first come first serve for pre-orders. I ordered mine 9:00 PM PST on 10/25. She said that from what she sees for my order that it will not ship out today. I asked her when does it say it will ship out then and she says she doesn't have that information. I'm going to ignore her statement...blah

This is good news. Thanks.

EDIT: Here is the response I got...

Gabriela: Yes. I see your preorder. The device is expected to ship out today. At the moment there is no shipment status on the order. Please allow for another 24 to 48 hours for the shipping status to be updated.
Ken: So if I got overnight shipping I may get it before the release date on the 9th, like tomorrow?
Gabriela: Yes.

If you pre-ordered at AT&T go here:

it takes you to this window:
