Extended Battery

I bought an extended battery on Amazon 3800mAh for $14. I charged it up to full, and it seemed to be draining at about the same speed as the regular battery, but I let it go as sometimes batteries take some time to really get going, or so I've heard. Anyway, last night, I was trying to get it to discharge completely. I got it down to one percent, and was playing a game that I know drains battery like crazy. I played for over 30 minutes, and the battery still said 1%. Is it a problem with the phone not recognizing the charge in the battery, or is it because I bought a cheap battery?
Thanks,

Thanks,

It probably just needs to calibrate itself. If you have cwm on your spec, charge all the way up, then go into cwm and wipe battery stats. Let it drain completely after that and it should be better. If you don't have cwm, it will probably happen by itself but it will take longer.

I haven't rooted or anything. Not real tech savy, and I don't want to take the chane of bricking the phone. I was thinking it might just take the phone a few discharges to recognize that the battery is lasting longer, but wasn't sure.

Yeah, it should settle in. Just charge it all the way and then let it drain all the way before charging again. Don't trust the phone when it says it's done either. Leave it on the charger all night just to make sure.
