I checked on getting a micro-sim before the S3 came out and couldn't because it was only available for contract, or so I was told. I just ordered a pre-paid micro-sim yesterday from Tmo for 99 cents. I already have the monthly $30 4G plan. Anyone know if I can go online and switch that plan to the micro-sim?

After searching Tmo support I found the answer to my question. I can switch the plan from my current sim to the micro-sim. Just not sure I can do it online. I'll visit a Tmo store when its time and see if they can do it.

For those worried about no LTE and wondering about the speed of T-Mobile's HSPA+, this is from a review I was just reading on Business Insider.

On the other hand, things may not be so bad if you're a T-Mobile customer. I tested the Nexus 4 on T-Mobile's 4G network in New York, and the speeds were in line with what I've seen using LTE on AT&T and Verizon. Very impressive.

I wonder why Google doesn't like MicroSD cards.

Patent issue

I've heard any number of reasons, from confusion over where things are stored to cost to wanting people to use cloud services. Probably it's a combination of everything. In any case, it looks like non-expandable physical memory is here to stay with the Nexus line.

We got tired of seeing OEMs include many GB of internal storage for music, while users were still running out of space for apps and data. This approach lets us merge everything on one volume, which is way better.
