Coolest Feature,Tip,Trick or App you have found For the Note 2

Used Best Face for the first time yesterday. I was very impressed with how well it worked. The only downside was having to give my phone to each person in the picture and let them choose the face they wanted to use (and of course nobody being happy with their 5 choices).

I wish the burst was a little faster for Best Face but all in all, a really neat and useful feature.

Well that's nice of you, as long as they're not blinking or mid pose... that's my choice for best face and they better like it. Hahaha

I'm always paranoid when anyone is around my phone. My son managed to fumble it; luckily for me it landed on a pile of clothes. Since then, no one and I mean no one has been able to touch it.

...no one and I mean no one has been able to touch it.

I don't know, can't be too paranoid at this stuff, otherwise it gets in the way of your enjoyment. Not like it's a baby or something.

If you are that worried just get some insurance like Square Trade. $99 and then you know if the worst happens it's just another $99 and you can get a brand new one.

I have insurance and still not letting anyone touch my phone.

Just keep in mind, squaretrade is not insurance, it's a extended warranty service. Once you use it you have to buy it again to continue with squaretrade's protection. They also don't cover lost or stolen.

I was in a pub last night and there was a power cut so we had no lights for an hour, just candles. I downloaded "Tiny Flashlight" which uses your phone's flash as a torch and I was OK then.BTW the fact I managed to download a 1.27mb app confirms that the GN2 does get better 3G reception.

1.27mb for a flash light app? that is large for a simple app.

Well I thought there was one but couldnt find it. I googled "torch on galaxy note 2" without a result but you are right it is "Assistive Light" in widgets. Cheers!

Same developers of NOVA launcer:

Widgetsoid can also create widgets (on the homescreens) or notifications (in the status bar) for flashlight function:

Ok, the settings are crazy overwhelming, but by far the coolest thing I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. ...create a custom vibrate pattern..Surprised more females...nevermind, I'll keep it pg.

lol iOS 6 has that feature and I only made one custom vibration. I guess I am just bored with iOS and Apple at the moment and not too enthused with the over "200" new features Apple claim iOS 6 has. Reading your post made me so jealous :eek:

Someone mentioned Blocking Mode earlier in the thread. The purpose of Blocking Mode is to prevent audio and LED alerts as well as phone call and alarms from popping up during certain times of the day.

If you use your Note 2 as your alarm clock, you will get a better, more refreshing sleep if you disable alerts, calls, and LED blinks -- I have my Blocking Mode set to start at 12:15am and stop at 6:45am. That way, the LED stays off and email alerts for junk mail and server alerts from work don't rouse me out of deep sleep during the night.

Hi all
Not a massive tip but I found by accident today that if you are on the home screen and press on the small dots that you change what page you are looking at, the dots change to a slider and you can slide through the different screens :)

This is an awesome accidental tip; I didn't know this one at all. Also, when you hold down on the slider a number appears letting you know which screen you're on.
