Keyboard Malfunctions?

I've had this phone for over a month now and the past 2 weeks I've noticed that after having rebooted, a few hours later, the keyboard will malfunction. I'll go to type in a text using the keyboard and most of the keyboard is unresponsive but! I'll hit the H button and it will open the Messaging app. Or I'll hit R and it brings up Google Maps. A simple reboot fixes the issue but it will do this again a day or so later.

Anyone else having this issue?

I've had this happen on all my QWERTY phones (G1, MyTouch 3G Slide, MyTouch 4G Slide). Apparently there's a shortcut that happens when you hold a certain key down and it'll turn the keys into short cut keys. Maybe it's alt or something? Either way it's not just this phone.

I've had a similar problem where I hit some combination of shift and some other key, then every other key I hit is a symbol or wrong character. I can't find a way to turn it off. With my old Touch Pro, there was an indication light that caps were on or symbols were on and that could be easily turned off. With my Relay, there is no way to know until you start typing.

Help...this is really annoying!

I am having both issues with the keyboard and the endless vibration daily. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated but it seems like this thread is a wasteland lol.

Try turning off notifications, reboot your Relay then turn them back on if you want them. These notifications use a good amount of extra battery power, so shutting them is good for extra life.
