Usually I order the moment they go live on the site. However this time I thought I would wait about ten minutes or so before ordering, to avoid the initial avalanche of people logging in.

Seems to have worked. Went to Google Play / Devices, found it listed as "in stock" placed my order, smooth as silk. No delays, no hiccups, fast and easy.

My transaction looked like it crashed after I hit the purchase button, however it looks like the transaction is pending in Google wallet with an order number so it looks like I may have gotten it to go through, we'll see.

I have no confirmation number. I am in a depressed, limbo like state.

Be patient, it's my understanding the system is just overloaded but not crashed completely. You may find your confirmation arriving in minutes to an hour or so. Not ideal, but not bad considering the rush of orders.

Check Google wallet to see if the transaction is there.

I haven't received an email yet, and won't be sure the transaction when through until that I guess, but GW lists all of your purchases and order numbers there.

What a mess! My order got kicked out 3 times, however Google still managed to charge me 3 times!

Well good news, was able to successfully cancel the other 2 orders, and now only the original 16Gig is showing in my wallet account pending...whewwww, what a day!

The US site opened at 11:30am eastern time; I had my order completed by 11:36am. I got the order confirmation on the screen (which I printed) but so far - 2 hours later - no email.

My credit card shows a "Pending" charge for the full amount.

Play Store's "My Orders" page is attached as well as Google Wallet (click the "Info" link in play store status column).

I am sure my order went through, but the waiting is worrisime...

If you're already logged into GMail the above will probably get you right to your transactions.

I would not be shocked to find out that the package requires signature at the door. So you might have to go through a cycle with whom ever (UPS/FEDEX) is delivering. Unless your driver will accept a note taped to the door that says "Please Deliver Package for X from Google - <signed>"

Thanks for that tip! On that screen I was able to see the shipping estimate of November 15th!

That's why I try to have all packages delivered to my job rather than my house. That and the fact that UPS is notorious for leaving products at the door without an answer.
