***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

It has just occured to me, and please, someone agree or disagree:

With today being the 10th year anniversary for Verizon wireless, i wonder if there somehow will be any "incredible" news at all reaching our ears possibly later tonight. I am hoping at least a few of the many, many verizon employees meeting in New York to celebrate the event also happen to be AndroidForum informers. Perhaps they will glean some information from the celebration. I would be surprised if VZW came up with NOTHING for their 10th year deal.

I know these thoughts have been paraphrased before, it just is something i am very optimistically hopeful for. To be honest, i truly can see some kind of unofficial announcement to the employees in the realm of a "New Leading Phone" of some sorts. Naturally, we wouldnt hear about it for a few hours at least because it wouldnt have been announced to the general celebratory committee :)

Well, I've had my NE2 for 2 months to this day now. 2 months left on the contract.
I'm getting super restless here. I hate to say it, but if it's not released soon, I may have to jump ship :(
I have had my early NE2 up for almost a full 1 year (contract expired in December) and I feel exactly the same way. I have decided to wait for the Incredible with Verizon, however if I'm still waiting when the EVO gets released, then I will be switching to sprint for the better phone, immediate 4G, and cheaper everything unlimited plan. I'm in Cleveland, so I'll be WiMaX covered, and it will shave $20-30 off my monthly plan!

You guys here are crazy. I've had my NE2 since December, waiting on this phone from the leaked roadmap. It didn't make sense for me to buy a phone with last generation's specs, when a new generation of phones was clearly on the horizon.

You guys talking about buying a Droid now... In April of 2010.... are insane.

Almost as insane as the people in this thread talking about they're doubting the existence of the Incredible.... as if we haven't seen real shots of the phone... and VIDEO of the phone.

The phone exists, and it's coming. VZW is killing themselves with this wait... but whatever. Between Nexus, Incredible, or Evo... any phone you purchase now will definitely hold you for the next year or two, just on specs alone. Any newer software can always be hacked onto the device. The SILLIEST thing you can do now, is to buy a Droid or an Eris.

I almost did over the weekend. My BB 8330 keeps freezing and rebooting multiple times a day . It wouldn't be so bad but the thing takes a good 8 minutes to reboot.

I use Quickpull Free, set if for 5:00am and mine never restarts again during the day. Haven't done a battery pull since I got it. I still want the Inc. but it has made living with the Curve easier. Might try Sprint "worry free" trial just to kill time waiting but don't know which current phone to try.

Wow! I think this is good move no matter how you look at it. Unless you are worried about the size of the EVO and maybe the rumored RAM the incredible might have. Those are the only real drawbacks I see at this point. Plus your saving 200 plus dollars a year!

Just wanted to thank everyone for getting me hooked on another phone that has no concrete release date. I've had a blackberry for the last five years and was following the mysterious blackberry 9650 release for months to replace my storm1. I got soo annoyed with the lack of a release date for the 9650 that I decided to get something other than a blackberry. I started researching the droid and was going to get a droid and found this thread. Now, I'm hooked again following a phone with no release date......

This Incredible looks better than any other blackberry that I owned.....hurry up

Here's another perspective that I'm not sure has been discussed much. Who stands to lose most from Verizon delaying the Incredible release (hint: not Steven58)? My guess would be HTC, who has invested a LOT of time and money in research, design, engineering, testing, and (likely) manufacturing. Something tells me the HTC guys are even more anxious than us for Verizon to drop the Incredible Bomb on us.

I think all this waiting has finally made me angry!

Ok I had a thought...if Verizon's own Twitter feed is acknowledging that the Incredible exists, shouldn't the phone and chat CSR's know about it too?

One of the quotes in question is :
VZWOffers

@shawnaisaacs Hi Shawn, Yes the HTC Incredible does seem to be in demand! What do you think of #Droid, by the way

Doesn't so much acknowledge it's existence rather than acknowledges the interest in it. I certainly didn't take it for much when I received it.
