Help Transferring data and apps from Desire to OneX+

I am switching from my old Desire to the One X+. I back up my desire daily online via "My Backup Pro" app. Is the easiest way of transferring all my data and apps and settings by downloading this app onto my new phone then hitting "restore". Will this work or am I missing something? (Is it a problem that my new phone has a microSim and my Desire had a standard Sim? ) Any advice most welcome.

Thank you

A previous forum poster has had an issue when transferring his/her data to the htc one x+ using this app. Heres the link:

If you have a google play account your current apps will automatically be downloaded to your new htc one x+ upon turning it on and connecting to the internet.

As for the standard sim to micro sim issue i had the same question initially and its all down to service provider really. Im with 'O2 UK' and all i had to do was text 'swap' to 22020 and then reply to the received O2 message with a security code and my new sim card number and voiler, just had to turn the phone off and on and it was activated instantly. Ofcourse it may not be this easy depending on who your service provider is but im sure most will have a similar system or you can just call them direct and have it done over the phone.

Hope some of this helps.

How does this work, I've had 3 htc's and each new one I've just Had to go the play store, my apps, then manually click install on the ones I wanted to download from the 'all' list..

Am I missing something? ,
