Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Nexus 10 (16GB) from the Google Play Store and have noticed that the screen crashes quite regularly. I haven't rooted it and all the apps I have were bought from the Play Store. The background applications keep running when the crash occurs so most of the time it flickers between working and a crash screen where there are vertical lines running down the screen. I sometimes find that if I change the angle that I'm holding the tablet I can move it between the normal view and the crashing screen.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? Do you think it is a hardware or a software issue?

I had that - then the tablet refused to load completely. Just hung on the flashing X.

A factory reset fixed both problems...

I have flashed back to stock after unlocking the bootloader and not being able to boot into anything other than bootloader mode. It continues to do it.

I will probably watch it for a little while (I know that I will be flashing other ROMs) and if it does not change I will call Google and see if I can get it replaced. I might even see if they will upgrade it to a 32GB (for the difference or not if they feel generous)

I got my Nexus 10 in the post on Monday.. I am loving it but also get these really annoying crashes. Just now it crashed on the lock screen when I swiped the clock to the side to look at other lockscreen widgets, and it often crashes using Chrome too. It then becomes unresponsive for a minute or so..

Are many others having this problem?

Hi wearethestorm :wavey:

I would try a factory reset and see if that fixes the crashing problem.
