Help Notification light not working....

I just received my Maxx HD today and just had time to set it all up and I noticed my notification light isn't working. Can anyone help me? I set up Light Flow too and I still get nothing. Help!

I'm assuming you have Light Flow enabled in the Light Flow app itself and have also set up different lights in the Notifications section of the Light Flow program. (If not, do so!) Another place it needs to be activated that is frequently missed is in the phones settings. Do that here:

From the Home page swipe right to bring up your Quick Settings page (to the left of the Home screen). Now select Go to all settings. Scroll all the way to the bottom and under the System section select Accessibility. You should see Light Flow second down and it should be on. If it says off, select it and turn it on.

Let me know if this helps.

I have it set up. I will just wait and see if it is working. I just wasn't sure if there were any other settings other than accessibility that I needed to get it to work.

Going to try this right now, thanks for the advice..

Did you ever notice the working at all? It is possible that your light is broken I suppose. Even before I installed Light Flow I got blinking light notifications for text messages. After you do the factory wipe/reset have someone send you a text and see if get any light.

Light Flow also has it's own test light function which should send you at least a couple flashes. If neither of those things work you should probably assume the light is broken and exchange the phone.

Actually the factory reset worked! thanks!

Update/Correction

Apparently, if you had a previous device and turn off your notification it will turn off on your new device. It ties in with your google account. That's why when you reset the device it will work.

Motorola just released a "Notification Light Widget". It is available in the Play Store. You can now turn off and on your notification light. Remember it's a widget.

I agree with this list except I have yellow instead of orange. I have nothing even close to orange.

Yes, my razr maxx hd does not get orange either. Believe it or not I am using all of those colors. I was seeking another I may not have discovered for myself. If there are no more colors I'll try different flash rates.

On my phone there are 2 blue colors and all purple/pink colors look the same. I think all I have is red, green, blue, , sky blue, yellow, green, purple, and white. Different shades of above colors not discernible.

Yep - same colors here, and I use them all. Fortunately that pretty much covers all the notifications that I care about getting lights for. Let me know if using the different flash rates works. I never tested that out since the various colors covered me but it would be nice to know in case some app suddenly has a notification that I must have!
