Next rumored "Superphone"?

Hey all - I have an S3 - but - am already getting antsy - IF I do it - it's going to have to be off-contract (first time ever), so - I need it to be the "right" phone. Not thrilled about the DBA (questions about battery life, and no expandable storage), or the SG Note 2 - a better bigger S3.

I'm guessing I'm looking for something from Moto (or maybe even LG - they seem to be getting better reviews).

I know - that there's always going to be something better coming out tomorrow - but, I haven't seen any rumors of
"what's next.

Anyone?

Well I haven't seen anything after the Note 2 personally... Although I just picked up the Droid DNA yesterday, and I must say, the battery life is fantastic. I am at 10h4m and still have 58% left, with light-moderate use. Also it supports OTG cables out of the box, that is a way to deal with the low onboard storage.

Congrats on your new phone! Need to go check out that section to see your experiences with it. I am still waiting to compare the HTC Droid DNA and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, whenever that is released.

Well the Samsung Galaxy Note II is on its own in terms of phone size and utility. I mean you've got an intuitive stylus which is home to its device. I feel that you won't be bummed with the Note II but that's just me.

Also I predict more 1080p phones after the DNA just like how the One X came out the SGSIII came along after it rivaling it. But here the Note II is still by itself and the difference is that Samsung was first to innovate its kind.

It sucks that they do that on every phone, but I fear that every phone released on Verizon from now on will be encrypted. :(

My contract is up in March. I desire optimus g or nexus 4. Verizon has neither :( and if the top spec phone on Verizon is locked down, I'm jumping ship on them.

Sidenote: how can I port my number off of Verizon? I called AT&T, they said my number couldn't be ported. I called Verizon to find out why, they said they'd look, and then their answer was I don't know why. I called T-Mobile and they said they can pull it right over. But T-Mobile's plans cost just as much as Verizon, and I'm looking for cheaper.

T-Mobile $30 prepaid, can't be beat.

I'd try AT&T again as your number so be able to go with you no problem. Also, beware Consumer Reports just ranked AT&T dead last based on customers responses. Also, double check AT&T prices; when I looked at switching last year, AT&T was going to cost me MORE than VZW for the same services.

As far as the phones for pre-pay go you can't use any 4G phone at all on pre-pay, only 3G. As long as the phone is not on contract and is only 3G it can be activated on pre-pay.
I had looked into this recently and was told that numerous times.

VZW specifically?

because you can get 4 or 5 Gigs for $30 on Tmob prepaid 4G (hspa+ 42), after that it's 3G. Just can't remember the exact amount of consumption right now.

That's $30 and includes unlimited txt and 100 voice minutes. :D:D
