Sheesh, I am getting to many accessories that I will probably end up not using in the long run, but just got this. Unfortunately not an option for case users, but phone specific.

Bought the same exact holder, but with a different base, I got the one that has a suction cup. Hopefully it will be good enough until the official ibolt dock comes out.

And this just came in today to mount with the pro clip and won't need to use the supplied vent mount. Really fast shipping.

nah, I'm just messin' with u. I will post pics when the docks come in, will likely be temporary until iBolt shows what they came up with and if that isn't to my liking, I will probably try the note 1 Mount which uses the richter connector

Well I have a note 1 & the samsung dock.. For now I still use the note 1 dock with my Note 2, but I have to use a rubber band at the top of the dock to secure it....It is not great but it works... Still charges ok but no sound through the external Really hope samsung sort it out soon...Still do not understand why they did not release at the sam time (

Just checking if you'd be willing to take pics of your note 2 in the note 1 dock. Sounds like the biggest issue/hurdle is the top clamp, but if that's the case I'd like to see it before attempting to purchase and modify to work.

Also, can you confirm that you meant audio didn't work with 3.5mm output on the actual dock?

hey guys... i got the samsung dock for note 2... but it doesnt stick to my dash's plastic at all, so i am returning it... do u know of any docks that will stick to non-glass surfaces, or even slightly curved surfaces?... if there is nothing as such out there, im afraid im stuck with docks that u stick in ur vents... but then im a little worried to have heat blasting to the back of my phone...

any suggestions? thanks guys

I highly recommend getting a proClip vehicle specific mount first.

Sweet, just ordered that richter mount, and will get the proclip next week. Very nice setup. I didn't want anything mounted to my dash or windshield, or in front of a vent, this puts it right to the side of one of my vents, PERFECT. Just need to find the right holder that works with my case now.

No worries. You probably could've called them to apply it if you had ordered already. They don't have sales like that very often, so I'd definitely jump on it. The dock they have for the note 2 isn't that great, but check if it works with cases

What are you guys using for power in your car? I have an old micro usb charger that I used to use with my blackberry but wondering if that is good to use with the note 2? Are you all planning to use a generic or only the Samsung note 2 car charger?

More important for charging is having a 2 amp charger. The regular chargers work, but don't charge as fast.

I agree. I have 2.1 amp. I figure 5.5 screen, GPS, watching a movie, and wifi tether simultaneously will require a LOT.

I was dumb enough to try a 4.2 from ebay that doesn't seem to be a true 4.2. That's what I get for trying to be to frugal.

Basically, I wanted to mount it to the underside of a floating shelf next to my bed since my alarm clock takes up the entire shelf. It looks like I can take the arm from this and mount it under my shelf, and the cradle will attach to the richter mount drexappeal posted above

This didn't work, btw. The car mount has a smaller richter mount than the ebay swivel mount. back to the drawing board.
