Help Just got a note 10.1 wifi

Jumped in today because I saw JB was available I turned on the device and instantly chose to update software its done it and rebooted but it only shows as 4.0.4??? How do I get jellybean?

Also can anyone give me some good stuff I should get?? I won't be rooting

I think Jelly Bean is only available in Germany at the minute. I have a UK model and it isn't available yet. Should be soon though .

Agreed! I what sort of donut posts that rubbish if ur happy to only have 4 apps to multitask well then yeah jb isn't for u but u have the best tab on the market and u wanna use it with a crap I repeat.... Donut

JB provides much greater hardware acceleration to get rid of 99% of the "android lag" and odd frame drops...much more responsive. You can drag and drop icons on top of each other to quickly make thumbnailed folders....tons of little tweaks you dont know you miss until you get a device with only ICS. I have a galaxy nexus and I got the note 10.1 yesterday..trust me in saying that if youre not excited about the JB release you probably live in a boy's imagination and are constantly losing your tail.

I am running JB on both my Verizon GNex & Nexus 10 and I personally can not wait to get it on my Note 10.1. I have a co-worker that just got the Sprint Note II and it is really nice with JB.

It is kind of hard to compare the two since they are very different devices. Both are very snappy and quick. You can see the difference in the screen resolution, the Nex 10 is amazing but the Note 10.1 is no slouch. I like the feel of the Nex 10 better with the soft rubber-like back. The Note 10.1 is very easily scratched but both are shaped almost identical. Both are in desperate need of accessories. I use the Note 10.1 for notes in meetings and classes. I use the Nex 10 as my play tablet. I am not going to root the Note 10.1.

I think, for some devices Jelly Bean is nothing to get excited about. For the Note 10.1 however, I believe it is.

Likewise, you don't really notice the little tweaks between ICS and JB till you have an ICS device again. My S3 was updated to JB and I didnt really notice anything different, then I got a Nexus 7. Then I got a Note 10.1 and there's several things I notice that are different that I miss and aren't down to the TouchWiz overlay. Now got a Note 2 instead of an S3 on JB and it's nice to have those little changes present, such as an email "preview" in the notifications. As I use the Note 10.1 mostly for emails, I really miss that feature and can't wait for Jelly Bean on it, not to mention the Premium Suite that's coming.

Caveman is there a tab besides an iPad u don't own???? I thought the nexus 10 screen would punish the note?? I'd love to see a screen as good as the s3 on the note for me it just lacks that crispness and brightness but I still hearts my own note

We only have four tablets in the house (Transformer Infinity - Son's, Sony Tablet S - Wife's & my Next 10 and Note 10.1). I do not mind the screen on the Note 10.1 for what I use it for. It is my work/school tablet and I am not a graphic artist so the note taking was the perfect solution. I use the Next 10 for everything else

I got JB this mornin, can anyone please tell me what it is i'm supposed to be exited about? Folders look different and the pagination is now more rounded, the screen flick appears smoother but this could be placebo and after the update my notification sounds had been reset.
